Pochettino To Juventus/Inter tales look frankly fantastic

By The Boy -

Mike McGrath has delivered transfer speculation for The Telegraph today which doesn’t stand up to much scrutiny, and one has to wonder why, based upon not upon opinion, but evidence.

I ought to preface the following by stating clearly that whilst I have zero tolerance for the revisionism of Mauricio perpetuated by some Millennials amongst our support, but I absolutely wish him well and believe he probably will get the opportunity to coach again.

Is Mauricio on a “shortlist of candidates at Inter Milan and Juventus”? I couldn’t possibly tell you, as I don’t have access to either sides’ offices, but I can read a league table, and I also have a cursory knowledge of Italian football.

Neither Juventus nor Inter Milan are in positions that has them primed to hit the eject button on their coaches. Moreover, neither manager are in perilous conditions.

Despite being close to winning the Championship, the Daily Mail shared the concern of Juve fans after losing to Napoli in the Copa. That was about a month ago. So unless Sari manages to throw a 6 point lead in the final furlongs, one would image that the 61-year-old’s position is comparatively safe.

Is Conte less secure at Inter? It looks not. SempreInter who are specialists in the Nerazzurri ran a piece 5 days ago on the former Chelsea boss, stating there are internal problems, but to dismiss Antonio would cost €150 million.

Perhaps I’m being uncharitable, that in a very short space of time, just weeks, and factoring in the conditions of the transfer markets etc., but Pochettino to Serie A looks and feels fantastic, unimaginable.

Who knows, maybe the Italians will hit the button and the Argentine will suddenly be installed. It is not impossible, however right now it appears implausible.

Highest ever Premier League placing, consistent qualification for The Champions League and our first ever final appearance in our history.

A gladiator he may not have been, but to do that working under Levy’s tight as f*uck budget restrictions was nothing short of remarkable. Oh, and the football was good to watch. The guy certainly had something about him to achieve all that.

I guess it was that damned League Cup that alluded him that would have made all the difference…

I’ve not really been able to find much apart from Lord Sugar’s comments following the Bournmouth game. That’s got everything to do with my inability to navigate Twitter and Reddit though. I swear Reddit must’ve been designed by Rubik.

Have a look at #Poch trending on Twitter, but better yet have a wade through the Reddit forums on Poch.

Apparently, Mauricio was a Gladiator!

Off topic but there is a very good series on ITV about the UK teams who won the European Cup and last night featured Aston Villa and Ron Saunders. Ron actually makes Mourinho look like a pussycat. A word of praise for his players was never known to have escaped his lips. He was even more dour than Don Revie. He fell out with every chairman he dealt with, one year there was a row over a transfer budget of £200,000 for the whole year, which was an improvement of the budget of the year before which was nothing. He resigned in the middle of Villa’s run to lifting the European Cup after the chairman gave him a three year contract. Sean Dyche is often portrayed as a hard man manager of the old school, Ron would have had him for breakfast. Some fine players on that Villa team, Dennis Mortimer, Gordon Cowans, Tony Morley.

Ahhh I see. That’s a level of delusion beyond us re-signing Bale.

I think he means those fans who want Mourinho to exit stage left and Poch to ride in on a white horse to save the day.

‘I have zero tolerance for the revisionism of Mauricio perpetuated by some Millennials amongst our support’

I must have missed something not being a member of facetube or the twitterverse. What is this rivisionism of which you speak? I’m genuinely curious.
