MAURICIO POCHETTINO is suddenly odds-on with Ladbrokes to be Manchester United’s next manager. The former Tottenham Hotspur boss is now just 1/2 with the bookies to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, whose days at Old Trafford look numbered.
This has probably been the most predictable market move imaginable, after last night’s appearance on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football show. The situation with Solskjaer is an awkward one, and one might imagine that United supremo Ed Woodward is feeling rather like a loving pet owner trying to avoid that one last trip to the vets.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes told The Boy Hotspur: “Poch has made it clear he’s ready for a return to management and with United in free-fall there’s every chance he replaces Solskjaer in the coming weeks.”
I can see Pochettino at United, but I’m uncertain what he might do in respect of characters like Paul Pogba. Could I see Dele Alli at Old Trafford, with Poch? Absolutely.

I, for one, hope he gets the job as we will then see if he can be a winner. Critics amongst some of the fans with short memories didn’t think he would get an opportunity with a top club again. As for sorting out Pogba et al, let’s remember that we had a few malcontents like Adebayor and Kaboul whom Poch cleared out ruthlessly.
The jobs too big for him. It could break him. Does he actually deserve such a big job. If he fks this up he’ll end up like AVB
& IF Mauricio does get the job & wants Dele, my money is on José wanting a swap deal for McTominay.
“and one might imagine that United supremo Ed Woodward is feeling rather like a loving pet owner trying to avoid that one last trip to the vets.” 🤣
Come on Ed Wood Wood Wood – you know it’s the humane thing to do. Put Ole out of his misery. Sir Alex will get you Poch as an early Xmas present.
