Christian Eriksen is no longer a Tottenham player but he remains a popular man among his former teammates, so it seems.
Hours after his transfer to Inter Milan was confirmed on Tuesday, Eriksen was bombarded with tributes from Spurs stars on Instagram.
Multiple players referred to him as “Maestro”, suggesting that Eriksen had a nickname – albeit a rather dull one – in the changing room.
Harry Winks and Lucas Moura both used the M-word in their tributes, while Jan Vertonghen simply wrote: “I’ll miss you bro”.
Michel Vorm had a similar message to Vertonghen’s. He typed: “We will miss you. What a player. Nothing but [blue heart emoji]”.
Toby Alderweield shared a photo of himself and Eriksen in formal clothing and captioned it: “We have shared so many special memories together at Spurs that I will always cherish. Good luck for the next chapter my friend”.
Forgive and let forgive
I wanted him badly. Well happy with celly though. 😊

His new squad number is 24, a step up from Spurs.
Can never forgive him for his awful half arsed performance in that game….!
Arsenal are finished (for a while) I reckon it will get to 8 seasons or more for them without champions League. We gonna bury them. Enjoy it TOTTENHAM fans😂😂 worried gooners out here. Give it to’em😂😂
There were loads of periods where he went missing over his time at Spurs.
Could have been a club legend if he’d have turned up to the Champions League final…
Good riddance given the last 18 months.
Presumably they are talking past tense …. you know about 12 months ago past tense when he could actually play a bit
