Paulo Dybala sighting in London sparks hopeful Spurs fans to share transfer theory involving Christian Eriksen

By Rob S -

Paulo Dybala was in London this week and it made many Spurs fans wet on social media.

The Juventus striker was heavily linked in the summer, with The Independent claiming that Juventus wanted to sell, Spurs wanted to buy and Dybala wanted to come to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Why no deal then? Image rights. Dybala had previously sold his image rights to a third party. Despite satisfying both Juve and the player, Spurs were unable to do a deal to buy these image rights and therefore one of the best strikers in the world slipped through their fingers.

But could the deal be back on? Probably not, but reality and pessimism seem to have escaped plenty of hopeful Spurs fans on Twitter, who got very excited after seeing Dybala post of picture of himself and girlfriend Oriana Sabatini on the London Underground this week.

The January transfer window is less than two weeks from slamming shut and Tottenham have yet to buy anyone, with most of the noise focused on when Christian Eriksen will leave and for how much.

And many Spurs fans are dreaming that an Eriksen-sized sale could be enough to buy back Dybala’s freedom from his image right goons.

Dybala would be a perfect signing right now. The list of players Spurs have been linked with to fill the void left by Harry Kane’s injury is very underwhelming but this guy is mustard.

Let the social media meltdown begin!

Was a done deal but disagreements between clubs stopped it. It is plausable He will join Spurs still due to having lots of competiton at Juve. Right age and would fit in with the current young players. Kid is absolute class to be fair and surprised Real and Barca are not all over him. We will soon see.

You must be an armchair fan !! I have watched Spurs since I was 5 years old.Born just down the road and had Zero choice as all my family are Spurs fans. ALL of you putting down Levy and ENIC have very short memories indeed or are too young to understand the changes made within the club over the last 30 years. We had a ground which was too small to compete with other clubs but that has been resolved with the new ground. The Training ground is by far the best in Europe as is the New stadium. Compare what Sugar did to LEVY!!! Compare the squad from Sugars reign to the current squad. The problem is expectation grew due to the last few years but I would urge patience as we are now in new phase of rebuilding to push onto the next level. Get behind the club instead of laying inoto them!

The ENIC effect. Paranoia and fantasy. The fans of this once great football club live in a desert of constant failure and the promise of an oasis of success somewhere just over the horizon. It never comes because this club has owners who purchased the club with the sole intention of land and property development. They have absolutely no desire for the type of success that football club supporters pay their ticket money to witness. This transfer window as with all under their ownership is not about investing it is about recirculating money from the sale of players to fund the incoming of younger players with potential for financial growth in value. We sell our best to fund the rest and it is like walking in shifting sand. This is why we always seem to leave things to the last minute in each window as we are waiting for incoming funds from sales to use for purchases but the problem then is that ENIC try and charge inflated prices when they sell and look for deflated prices when they buy. The net result is continual failure to do what is needed for the football club. Yet…. and this is the irony they look to charge ticket prices associated with those clubs genuinely competing for titles and success with squads invested in by owners who realise that it is that success that is the metric for everything. ENIC OUT.

Good grief. People don’t seriously believe this manure do they???? He ain’t coming. Neither is bale. Or Messi. Or Ronaldo. Silami or whatever his name might. If Dan can get a loan sorted. Meanwhile another 40ft trailer of 50 quid notes dissappears up the High road bound for the Bahamas

Preach brother. On the “I’ll drink my own bath water if this happens” scale, Dybala to Spurs has me drinking my own and the elderly widower’s next door should it come to fruition

Possibly a double deal with both Bale and Modric, with Raphael Van de Vaart joining Mourinho’s coaching team.

I thought that Dybala, who currently is in good form at Juve, was offered new terms by the club or at least said he is remaining there. It seems the problems that arose when Ronaldo went there have disappeared and they’re working well together.
When the rumours began last summer we were in a much better position and an attractive proposition.Juve are top of their league again and we look like missing Eoropean football completely next season. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out where he is better off, along with the fact that Levy would never stump up his wages.Take it from me this transfer will never happen.Social media is a joke.

Those social media fans aren’t hardcore Spurs fans, true Spurs fans never get their hopes up, never believe any links to any player. They never see any light at the end of the tunnel, only the lights of the on coming train.
