Our Spurs XI vs Wolves: 22-yr-old surely for the drop to aid Ange Ball revival

By The Boy -

Wolves are never a particularly easy opponent but in truth, few sides are in the English top flight these days. Gary O’Neil’s side had been finding some class of form but having now lost Player of the Month  Matheus Cunha to injury, the remainder of the West Midlands side’s season looks set to take an uphill turn.

Spurs are desperately looking to get back to the truly free-flowing football enjoyed before they hit the injury skids in November and December.

Our form has recovered somewhat, but we don’t look quite as convincing as we did previously under Postecoglou.

This week saw both Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie sidelined with niggles and speaking of which, Rodrigo Bentancur is a player that is still on the path to recovering his ideal form – which is perfectly understandable given the relative trauma he’s had to endure in recent times, bless him.

For me, it’s Brennan Johnson that needs to be a bench option this time around, as he has only shown fleeting glances of what he might be able to offer and getting our midfield back to more coherant ways has to be a priority.

Sarr, Bissouma and Maddison need to regain some coherency.
