Tottenham Hotspur’s possible swoop for Queens Park Rangers midfielder Eberechi Eze could reportedly be halted by Jose Mourinho’s arrival.
The Sun understands that the 21-year-old had been scouted extensively under the Mauricio Pochettino regime ahead of a potential January bid.
However, Mourinho has gone into Spurs making it clear that he is happy with the squad he has inherited and not desperate to make additions.
The former Chelsea manager will have money made available to him next month but is keen to take the time to assess the priority areas for recruitment and not jump straight into the market, according to The Sun.
One area where Mourinho may be happy with his lot is the No.10 position. He has immediately revitalized Dele Alli and also has Giovani Lo Celso waiting for a chance and Christian Eriksen, for now, who can play there.

That may permanently kill our interest in Eze who has scored seven goals and assisted four more in 19 league games as a No.10 for QPR this season.
The Sun adds that Chelsea, West Ham United and Leicester City are also monitoring Eze, so he may still get his Premier League move in January.
Our boy Troy😊
Dortmund?
Poch wasn’t a winner until ever
Klopp wasn’t a winner until he was…Poch got close and needed a couple of players to deepen his squad, Klopp got those when he needed them.
Go the Parrot.

The last time we lost to Middlesbrough we were 16th in the premiere league.
arsenal v leeds could be fun.
Middlesborough away 3rd Round FA Cup
Him or son?
They are not similar at all. Klopps a winner and poch ain’t. Poch had a team capable of winning that cup. Our team was once more valuable than theirs. I just held me hands up.
Mane being a prime example of a player he missed out on and one i would have loved to have seen with a Spurs shirt on…
Doesn’t make you wrong, it means Klopp got backed to the tune of a world record keeper and the most expensive defender in the league. Could Poch have matched the achievements had he actually got the players he needed when he needed them rather than a year late if ever. Personally I think Klopp and Poch are very similar, both struggle to make impacting subs, both struggle to deploy a plan B and both tend to favour certain players way beyond their form shows they should.
FA cup. Tottenham vs the Millwall bricking bush Wacker’s. Please no. Please NO. I obviously want a home draw but QPR away I’d get to. (Only London games for me) Would get to see the eze boy up close too.
You know when you’ve said to a Liverpool fan that “poch is a much better coach than klop, all he has is enthusiasm jumping up and down like a lunatic on touch lines. He’ll soon get found out” then you see them a year later CL. PL practically in the bag on a 30 game unbeaten run … Just gotta hold your hands up.
I don’t think anyone suggested he was a waste of 5M,his form had dipped alarmingly and I was one who thought he might be better off elsewhere.
For whatever reason he didn’t appear able to reproduce his old form for Poch in the end. However Mourinho has tweeked his position in the side and it has worked wonders.I wondered yesterday that if he got back in the England team would Southgate play him in that more advanced role.
Looks more like another Ndombélé than a Dele.

Foyth should be mourhino’d up to do what dier tries to do.
I think he would. He knew to play Dele despite the opinion in some quarters that he was a finger tricking waste of 5m and should be sold or just given away. He also gave young players like Rashford and McTomminay a go at Man U.
If he’s as good as you say,he could be our next Dele Alli. But would Mourinho use him or even give him a chance?
Clasford sterling MBE Tottenham. (250 youngsters through him have turned pro) rates him very very highly. He mentioned him to me a few years ago. Get him in.
If Eze could be had for 20m that is a no brainer, especially with CE going. He looks the most exciting talent in the championship, able to breeze past people and turn them inside out. Good eye for a pass and goal too. The kind of talent that should have been seized last summer rather than the likes of Jack Clarke.
Can’t see him being about Madison level revelation on the league, but worries me if we buy no one in January. It’s not a case of not keeping clean sheets, we are literally able to turn a 3-0 lead into a nail biting finish through our defending, I would see say a no10 and any other attacking position is a nice to have, defensive midfield, full back (both sides) and CB are top priority. If come close of Jan we can nail Toby down, and get a top DMF I will be happy, 3 weeks ago I had full backs as our biggest issue but they actually looking ok at the moment.
