One emotional revelation you might not know about Spurs’ new striker

Tottenham finally ended their wait for a new striker to back up Harry Kane this season when they sealed a loan move for Benfica striker, Carlos Vinicius.

The Brazilian joins Spurs with the option of making the move permanent should he impress enough and he will hope to do so.

He scored more than 20 goals for the Portuguese side last season and joining Spurs is arguably his biggest career achievement so far, however, just a few years back, he almost quit football.

In 2017, he was playing for Brazilian lower league side, Grêmio Esportivo Anápolis and he was having a hard time making ends meet as a footballer.

He claimed in that year he considered quitting the game entirely as he needed something to better take care of his family.

Luckily for him, his big break came when he didn’t give up and he made the move to Portuguese second division side, Real Sport Clube in that same year and today he is at a top club.

He said as quoted by Sun Sport: “Things were really tough in Brazil.

“I’ve got a wife and two children, things weren’t going well with my football and I spoke with them about quitting. Thankfully, an opportunity arose.

“I got the chance at Real Sport Clube in the Portuguese second division and I saw that like checkmate – it had to come off.

“Today, I’ve made it to the top. Thankfully I’m here now.”

Interesting because sites were saying we offered £7m when he was valued at £18m, clickbait I guess. Where did the story of our interest come from?

Some of the mob on SC are seriously excited about signing this guy. Such is his commitment apparently, that if you threw a brick at his head, he would head it. Not very bright then.

Hot on the heels of Arsenal’s Goonersaurus firing comes the news that former Arsenal favourite, Jack Wheelchair, is hanging up his football boots, leaving the Spammers to take up a career in jumping out of tumble dryers or drunk karaoke. Nobody will miss him.

It’s good to have a fellow Brazilian in Moura to help him settle in his new club. Its so much easier to fit in and perform when the side are playing well, let’s hope his loan is a success and we make his move permanent.
