O’Hara wants Conte out and names world class manager as his replacement

By Mehdi Gokal -

Former Tottenham star turned pundit Jamie O’Hara has urged Spurs to sack Antonio Conte and replace him with Mauricio Pochettino.

Conte has been at Tottenham for just over year, and there have been plenty of positives to come out of his time there.

He took over the club when they were really struggling in the league last season and made an immediate impact in turning their season around and leading them to a top four finish on the last day, securing Champions League football in the process.

And this season as well, despite the criticism and the uninspiring style of play, Spurs are enjoying their best-ever start to a Premier League campaign as they sit 4th in the table and have also ended progressed to the knockout stages of the Champions League as group winners.

Many fans and pundits, however, are left frustrated by Spurs’ inability to take control of a match in the first half, this season and while the North London club has fought back to reclaim points numerous times this season, this approach to games is seen as unsustainable.

Dejan Kulusevski himself has come out and criticised his team’s slow start to the games and has urged his teammates to be more aggressive in their approach from the very start to the game.

Conte’s contract expires at the end of the season, and while talks over a new contract for the 53-year-old are ongoing, it is still very uncertain.

And after Spurs fought back late to rescue a point against Brentford, former Spurs star and pundit O’Hara seems to have lost his patience with the Italian manager’s football style and urged the club to re-hire their former manager Mauricio Pochettino.

After they went 2 down, he tweeted:  “Bring back Poch.”
