Nuno Espirito Santo has given Tottenham the go-ahead to sign Barcelona flop Miralem Pjanic this summer.
Spurs are preparing for an important first season under the Portuguese manager and he will hope to guide Spurs back inside the top four.
He is inheriting a squad that has a lot of talent, however, he will also look to bring in some of his own players.
Pjanic is one of the most recognisable midfielders in Europe after he helped Juventus to dominate Serie A.
He moved to Barca last summer but his time with the Catalans has been filled with frustration.
The Spaniards are open to loaning him out this summer and he has been tipped to return to Juventus.
However, the Spanish media outlet, Sport says Tottenham also wants him and he will likely move to the Premier League.
The report says several clubs have been linked with a move for him and Tottenham is one of them.
Spurs reportedly enquired about signing him some weeks ago and they have now received a go-ahead from their new manager, Nuno Santo.
The Portuguese boss had an experienced Joao Moutinho in his midfield at Wolves and could use Pjanic in a similar role at Tottenham.

You don’t really watch him play do you. This guy is not flashy He is a work horse and if you put him next PEH we would be solid. The problem signing him bring is formation. PEH is not pressure resistence even though he is getting better at receiving from the back. Locelso will be the 10 spot drifting out right to left. That leaves 1 stop for Tanguy and Alli. Performance will determine. Unless we get Sabitzer, we stuck with Alli, Tanguy and Locelso. One has to be the outlet and it aint Alli.
