Portuguese journalist Venê Casagrande has perhaps thrown Spurs fans some hope in relation to the Tanguy NDombele transfer.
Keen eyed readers will recall yesterday’s piece on Harry Hotspur carrying quotes from Lyon President Aulas, who told the French press that a key indicator in any deal for Tanguy beginning to take shape if a good box-to-box midfield youngster arriving at his club.
That such a move might signal that Ndombele was leaving Lyon.
Casagrande believes that Lyon are in advanced negotiations for midfielder Jean Lucas.
Now, young Lucas’ CV is pretty damn thin, but it is worth remembering that so was NDombele’s prior to joining Lyon. Tanguy was bought for just €6million.
Perhaps the two transfers are entirely unrelated, however it isn’t entirely unbelievable that this could be the player being brought in to cover NDombele’s departure.

2 things strike me about this circus. 1 is that he was on poch radar last year, so apart from physical contact everything should have been sorted, as nobody talks behind their clubs backs do they. 2nd is I can’t help but think this transfer has and probably has potential to get even more dramatic due to the relationship between the 2 chairmen. He pissed their boy off royally over lloris and I can see him thinking ill screw him for everything this time.
I wonder how much of the Ndombele delay is Lyon not wanting to publish their HUGE profit on the lad prior to a replacement being agreed? Would make sense why we are being talked about by player and Lyon in a favourable way for no reason.
