Levy Given Humiliating ‘Come & Get Him’ Plea

By The Boy -

Levyologists will undoubtedly greet this with the usual derisive guff about patience and entitlement, however this specific transfer business quite frankly beggars belief.

Daniel Levy is so bad, so incredibly poor a negotiator, that for the first time that I can recall, we have the CEO of another side making a ‘Come And Get Him’ plea.

Lyon President Aulas told the French press:

In terms of the chronology, before accepting the transfer of Ferland Mendy to Madrid, we signed the young international U17 Belgian, Heritier Deyonge, from PSV Eindhoven.

What I can say to you is if you see a very good box-to-box midfield youngster arrive, in the coming days, then there will be a chance that Tanguy Ndombele leaves, but for the moment, we have not received offers of the level that we feel is a just price.

Let’s just recap. This is the president at Lyon, being asked specifically about Tanguy Ndombele and an eventual offer from Tottenham.

When asked, he says he’s waiting for a sensible offer, so he can then line up a replacement.

This is beyond clear. This is your new girlfriend inviting you over to hers, and telling you not to forget your pyjamas – clear.

Levy is a tyre kicker.

Ok – Papers are saying £70m, Transfer Markt estimate £60m (€65m) so I would say its not un-realistic to say we should be between £50m and £65m. I am not sure what Lyon are asking for, but only thing putting me off that price is his lack of experience. I honestly think (personally) an offer of £55m should get him and would be fair all round.

What can be added? Levy will be forever remembered as an absolute disgrace to THFC if he doesn’t get this deal over the line. It could hardly be simpler – the player wants us, his manager wants us to buy him, we can most definitely afford him (Levy stop covering up the accounts sheet that shows nearly £100m this season alone from the UCL). So what is the hold up again?
Perhaps it’s because his transfer record in the last few seasons has been so abysmal in the amount of crud that he has signed that has come in and pretty rapidly gone out the same revolving door soon after. I wonder whether all these errors of judgement are affecting his ability to actually make a decision now?
Personally I think the little man needs to see a shrink as he is rapidly becoming unable to do his job. He cocked up the stadium too, not even getting close to the opening date. If he hasn’t got an inferiority complex by now then he ruddy well should have one. My guess is he’s an arrogant little man with Napoleon syndrome – ie he thinks he can take on the world and win, this condition tends to make the sufferer actually think he’s a success despite the evidence to the contrary.
If he fouls up this one then Joe Lewis should boot the vain little man into a lesser role with the club, like being in charge of ordering the cheese deliveries, and we could have somebody with some drive, ambition and commonsense be Chairman instead.

Gomes to Everton for £22m…I know he was not great there, but he would have walked into our team most of the season. £22m for a VERY good squad player. Why didn’t we? I hope this means Levy has his eyes on bigger htings.

Ok – am I being really down on us to ask…why us? This guy is a clear talent, he is young, clearly wants to leave Lyon who are willing to sell…so why us? Why are City/Juve/Liverpool…not looking at this guy? I imagine Levy is not the easiest chairman to deal with, I know we don’t pay the most, we are not as likely to win as others…so what is the draw?

And don’t forget that he’s got the dembele sale to put to the figure asked for by lyon, unless it’s already been squirrel Ed away for something else. Like that coffin dodger wants a new gold throne on one of his yachts

Part of the problem might be when chelski bought kante in 2016 he cost 33 million. Also lyon nearly always cave in when selling players and take a lower price. Knowing all this there is no way DL is going to pay 60 million. We also have a problem with not enough home grown players for CL squad so maybe we either need to sell first before trying to buy this guy. Forget the papers they are nuts real price 45-55 I reckon.

Ndombele is worth £60m in the current market imo. His age and recent performances warrant that amount of money. Levy is willing to sell at these prices so he should expect to buy too. Only a tight-fisted, useless cnut would think otherwise

Well allegedly players want to play in the stadium. The reality of course is that’s a load of shit, they don’t care about a building, they care about wages and trophies. Now we have a situation where a player is basically thinking well they are consistently in the champs league, the prem league is allegedly the greatest in the world, and they have fabulous facilities. Plus I could be living in London. And then he finds out that the chairman is waiting as is his way for someone else to snap him up, as I’ve eluded to in other posts. And even if he doesn’t, wait til he finds out half his wages will be paid in shares in the ground, one third kept back as his pension and 400 a week take home for the duration of his contract. Giant club my arse, you run it worse than a corner shop Daniel. Your a fraud. Can’t even do a deal for sessegnon ffs. I heard he went and got a shirt from the shop with his name on the back to try and persuade you, but you asked him to buy his own shorts and socks as well. Wanker

So just asking but can someone on here actually put a price they think we should pay for Ndombele. I mean real numbers not what lyon are asking. The answers I await. This is not sticking up for DL before you all get going.

It’s just occurred to me as well, that seeing as lyon had a good idea that they were gonna be losing this lad, they went and scouted about and found someone they believe can come in and do a similar job for them. I only raise the point as it seems to me a smart way to operate, if you know someone like for example eriksen wants to leave then you get busy identifying and sounding out possible high quality replacement quite early. Just a thought Daniel. You twat
