Never before have I heard as many players come out in interviews and state that the coach and his winning mentality was the draw in signing for Spurs. Gareth Bale while still at Real Madrid said it was a huge statement of Spurs ambition in employing Jose Mourinho describing him as world class and a serial winner.
Hojbjerg turned other clubs away after Jose told him he wanted him, now the same thing looks like happening with Vinicióus being offered better deals elsewhere but insisting he wants to come to Spurs.

When the fans were being sold the stadium redevelopment dream, one emphasis was that the allure of this exciting project was the pull that Tottenham would have. Pochettino delivered Champions League football, yet players wanted to leave, not join! The Mourinho effect proves that the Portuguese is the real deal. Just ask the boys and girls in the production suite at Amazon Prime.
José must win silverware, we know that, anything less is losing, and nobody wants a repeat of that that tiresome sketch, thanks, very much.

This Portuguese pundit went as far to call the deal that brings Vinícius to Tottenham bad, disastrous business for Benfica. Spurs will pay just £2.73M and will have a non-obligatory buying option-to-get him for £38M.
Mourinho opens doors.
Sergio Reguilon stated he was all set to join Man Utd until Jose phoned him and changed his mind : express 16/9/20
There’s my guy right there. “Don da da. “José and levy will never work” José working him.
This is undoubtedly true H and is what happens when you have a world class manager with a CV to match. Doherty, Hojbjerg and Gareth Bale were all quite explicit about the influence Mourinho had on their decision to come here and now ‘Sid’ Vinicious is the latest example! If we are able to get the Skriniar deal over the line, that would be ‘the icing on the cake’ frankly and this transfer window will have been a genuinely unqualified success (first time in living memory!).
Actually that was a dumb comment. I’m deleting it. Good to see you writing man. My favourite were always your brilliant come backs in the comments. Please don’t ease up on those!
Harry! Is there a wee tip of the cap to the Baldy fella in the mist of those words? 😉
