Former Aston Villa man Gabby Agbonlahor was on talkSPORT when he dropped the bombshell that José Mourinho and Dele Alli had fallen out BEFORE a ball was kicked against Everton on Sunday. Paul Jiggins for The Sun quotes Gabby as saying:
Dele is still well thought of by many, if not most fans, as the bit can still turn it on when he wants to, but almost as many supporters still don’t care for José, it’s not difficult to predict what much of the fan reaction will be like.
Alternatively you can watch the All or Nothing documentary, where Mourinho tells Levy that Dele doesn’t train well – as well as telling the lad to his face – that he’s heard that he’s ‘effin’ lazy in training.
Under Mauricio Pochettino (who is still unemployed), it is fair comment that Dele would’ve stayed on for much longer, it would have been very unusual for the Argentine to make a substitution so early on in a game.
Personally I hope the penny drops with Dele, he finds some focus, and starts to live up to the hype more often.
“Bum” is a figure of speech. I’ve done great stuff re people’s lives that I am very very proud of. Ive helped many get their lives back on track especially those out on licence with drugs&alcohol problems. Mental health issues and homeless (no longer homeless) ive helped secure thousands and thousands of pounds of funding for certain projects for the vulnerable people in my community. What have you done apart from moan about stuff with no action?
Money that we only now have you mean? Thought you wanted us back at the old broke lane. If were we still there we wouldn’t be signing bale on his wages and Kane wouldn’t be on £200 large a week. He’d be long gone.
Nobody could do worse coz nobody will ever get that long at my club again without winning stuff. NEVER. levy used poch (paid him handsomely) and used him well while he was building the best stadium in the world. Poch was his lap dog puppy dog.
Wanted him. Never got him so I’ll get behind who we did get. I’m never in a hole. Coz I never coat my club off in the name of levy. My heads always high. When to pochs house to sign him, yawn yawn yawn. Who cares about that now? Not me.
Oh yeah we’re not on park “LANE anymore
Agree about what? That my clubs hopeless? To you and them maybe
All mouth and no action you are. People like you get people like me in trouble. This is why I hate people like you so much
You call people all the names under the sun etc if they don’t agree. Nobody special here.
Start calling people bums that have done great stuff then you have to have done even greater stuff to earn the right…
Man up. Don’t hide behind your screen. Link me. Don’t fkin push it east stand
You don’t have to reply, I’m only replying to replies. If you don’t want to risk being annoyed then don’t come on here. Who doesn’t get annoyed on here? 😂
You’re proper annoying me know. Done talking and link?
From the Lane? So you want the old place as part of our identity but defensive football is ok? Picking and choosin’ I see…
From the Lane? So you want the old place as part of our identity but defensive football is ok? Picking and choosin’ I see…
You wonder what that makes me? Wanna find out?
So you want the guy that taught Poch everything he knows? Went to his house and signed him as a kid? Biggest influence on Poch?
So you want Poch but an older version, is that right? Do you know anything about Bielsa because if you knew your sh*t you would never have dug that little hole for yourself…

I don’t know how you can think of any of that past crap when two great players are coming.
😂 😂
Nobody could do worse… 😂 😂
Keep it coming, it’s great! 😂 😂 😂
Sorry, this is brilliant…
🎼we are Tottenham
Super Tottenham
We are Tottenham
From the lane. YIDZ
Better than rubbish 6th place and the Ropey ‘nobody cares Cup though weren’t it… 😂
Yeah. Of course. Good managers play the same system against every team all the time. Go away now with your negativeness. I’m happy with whats happening at my club. Now shoo. Go Learn to enjoy your team
He got the club into our highest EVER Premier League places four seasons running and to our first ever Champions League final and he’s a ‘bum’? 😂
I wonder what that makes you…
What league? The Champions League? 😂
Poch did it four times, Jose didn’t have it in him to get us over the line.
Yep, most managers are. Prove otherwise….
“Jose is a bit of a one trick pony, most managers are in fact” OK then. Gord!! The arrogance of a fool ay.
So what now. He’s history, well he is to most anyway
Made your day that did. FAKE. You fkin love the fact we lost so you can do your “see I told ya” crap. Laughing coz Jose lost. Tottenham lost too. If every Tottenham player read your nonsense they’d think “who is this guy? He certainly ain’t full on die hard Tottenham. And they’d be right. The manager would think ” what a w@nk€7! Poch would think that too for trying to put him in the same league as Jose and beg you to STOP IT its embarrassing
Shoo you pest. Go away with your nonsense. The man you love so much is a bum. End of. My club broke him.
Work this out for yourself. 5.5 years and fk all cups.
He’ll do better in less time than your man loser poch. No one could do worse. Actually they could. In 6 years.
He ain’t won much though. But more than the rubbish at winning stuff one trick pony. “press press press” that’s all he had.
It’s not the player’s fault how much they’re paid. It seems vulgar at times but have you seen the gold plated Lamborghini’s rolling around in Knightsbridge? Blood money and despots, I’d prefer to see a footballer buy a Roller than those c**nts…
As far as I can tell, Jose also has his tactical faults, just ask Everton! 😂
As far as I can tell, Jose also has his tactical faults, just ask Everton! 😂
Bielsa? Poch’s mentor? Exactly the same approach, they’re like father and son.
Er, you need money to win stuff. That’s why the ‘money people’ as you put it are more than just a little bit relevant.
A wooden spoon perhaps… I want the big time not another second rate pot. If he can get a pot and also top 4 then fair play to him. Not holding my breath.
Well Jose’s already had about 8m and he’s only been in the job six months and won nothing yet. He needs to get us on the Champions League because he’ll have earned in two and a bit seasons what the last manager earned in five… he’s on 15m a year and a 2m top 4 bonus. Work it out for yourself.
If u don’t want to be critise by d coach u ve to ready, then give 100%in every matches.dont tell us u give ur best, let the spectators asses u, because ur best might not good enough to give excellent result.
Who cares now. I’m just glad he’s gone.
14th and 3 points off 5th
Like all my managers I’ll give him the chance and back him. If he fails I’ll coat him off like I do all the losers that pass through my club (never while they’re here) unless 14th and looking desperate with players not interested or convinced by his methods. Who cares if “nobody agrees with me? Not me. Me done tell you already ” I don’t need to be agreed with.
Yes him.
You mean the same manager who was sacked from his last two jobs? This suggests his career has been on a downward curve for some time… Decorated back in the olden days.
Levy likes people to blame others for his own failures, he lines them up ready to be shot down. He’ll blame Jose too, soon enough… it will not work long term.
That will be fun, I can’t wait! 😂
You are clearly in denial of the facts. You won’t admit that Levy has his hands all over the lack of ambition that has led us here. Blame the last manager all you like, nobody agrees with you. Poch wasn’t perfect but everyone knows what our budget is and any money that was spent last summer was from the consecutive Champions League campaigns the ‘loser’ oversaw.
Jose’s gotta get us back in there, otherwise he will have failed…
Please stop reminding me about the cheese room. I’m GUTTED their ain’t one. Wine cheese and football please. Actually local brew. 🌚 I love the long bar too. Less waiting time.
Has he,how can you tell?
Tell you what I wouldn’t put it past him. He’s so detached from reality its pretty scary. One of Mitchell’s team was quoted as saying he loved his time at spurs but their hands were tied…. either the man has a fetishism or he needs to let people do what he employs them for
There aren’t anymore. Levy decided he didn’t need them as he knew better. After he inevitably sacks Mourinho and the laughable sycophant Sacramento, ( see Oliver Holt’s comments on the Amazon documentary), there is only one solution left and that is for Levy to become the manager himself.
I wanted “mad dog” and nuno too. In that order. Dont always get what we want
You may be clutching there insinuating there’s scouts and technical people there….
Listen. That’s all in the past for me now. The future as in the new lane and he brought in the most decorated manager in the world and was spending. I can’t knock him for that.
I wonder who hired all those loser managers, coaching, scouting and technical analytical staff ? I wonder how much it has cost the club to pay all those redundancies? Oh, I remember, the most highly paid CEO in the PL. You couldn’t make it up.
No real money was coming in there man. Chump change.
Old broke lane? There was a piece by the BBC I think that said 11 prem clubs didn’t need gate money to survive. If its been said a thousand times on here look how Liverpool did it and what we did. And the fact is I live near Manchester. I heard their lots views about jose. Its not good football. Its divisive in the dressing room. These are facts. I’d have had the wolves manager personally, he looks a really good lad
Old broke lane. Anyway you moan about the money people not backing the manager when you don’t either. Can’t understand you people.
Tappa it aint the manager. Its the people that have no interest in backing any of the managers who showed any kind of promise in the 20 years previous. Rednapp, jol poch all had chances. Not one was backed
Just have to wait and see won’t we.
You ain’t gotta tell me to back my CURRENT manager, that comes as standard.
ps. Jose will have nearly caught that 35m up nxt close season. I doubt there will be any trophies to show for it
There are times when I wondered if your lobotomy was successful. Just been confirmed. You cheer that dinosaur on then, with crap football, an unhappy dressing room and a fraud for a chairman. But when you look round in another 20 years and it is still 1 league cup remember you want this
Jealous coz deles got a roller? Sounds like it. Gwarn dele. Spend your legal money how you like. I’m sure he paid a good few quid in tax on that car. How can that be a bad thing. The country’s broke and needs it
Fk him and the rest of the loser managers that have passed through my club. £35 million he got from my club for winning nothing. He’d better not be complaining
I don’t think so. See above. Leslie Crawford spelled it out for me. First year earning, not bad spending, I think.
Wouldn’t you if you were a millionaire? Lovely motors. Its his money he can do what he likes with it.
Wouldn’t you if you were a millionaire? Lovely motors. Its his money he can do what he likes with it.
The lack of pace is very worrying. Also needs to be noted that we didn’t play a top top side and it was exposed. Salah sterling etc will have a field day. I just think that alli has fallen foul of the same problem so many young players have, and I think its gone to far for him now and he won’t make it back. Hope he proves me wrong but I have my doubts. The other deeply troubling issue for me was a manager saying players weren’t fit enough on the first day of the season. No doubt pochs fault. That’s a bizarre statement. As much as I blame the vast majority of of what’s gone wrong in n17 on the vermin chairman and his bloodsucking cohorts, that’s Jose’s job.
Well said that man. I am amazed that fans on this site slag Poch off. He had his tactical faults but remember where we were before he arrived. As fans, he gave us back some self respect and the respect of other teams. As you quite rightly wrote, he warned the board to be brave several seasons before the team started to implode. He saw the writing on the wall, but Levy knew better. On the matter of Alli, Tony Cascarino writes in today’s Times that because of all the hamstring injuries that he has had, he has bulked up in the gym, and that he is consequently not the same athletic mover he was in the past. Mind you, it hasn’t stopped him buying a new Rolls Royce Phantom for £390,000. Cascarino made one other interesting point that Spurs had six of the slowest players in the PL in Aldeweireld, Dier, Davies, Doherty, Winks and Hjojberg. I have always thought we were far to slow to transitioning from defence to attack in the last few seasons. Interesting to note that Mourinho bought two of those players.
Still I read its due to poch. Some people are so hell bent on pointing fingers in the wrong place its scary. OK for the more challenged. That lot just over a year ago were in the biggest game in football. Furthermore the manager at the time said on numerous occasions we need to act like a big club. What he meant was sign proper players. Not two bit Danish internationals from Southampton cos they are cheap. Your messiah has had 2 windows and pre season. And served up that on Sunday. Stop talking out your exhausts, that is FA to do with poch. That’s a manager who won things where it was impossible not to given the cash and players at his disposal, and a chairman who has absolutely no interest in football. The blind poch hatred needs calling out for what it is. Its a smokescreen to hide the shocking ineptitude of the custodians of that club. What this is now is the windows where we watched teams make progress, and strengthen, while we did nothing. Throw in a manager that has a long record of upsetting his players, fact, and a list of people that have been deemed by everyone not good enough and need to be moved, that are still there because some breast in the top seat thinks he can get 100m for them wont sell and we are left in a very very bad place. I point to comments from that shambles on amazon. People dont understand how hard it is to do a deal. F@@kin right we don’t cos we watch everyone else manage to. Now the manager saying we haven’t got enough of a squad to go for the league Cup. Really? Last man got slammed for that off some of the more ungrateful among us. Same man who said we had a great squad when he took over. Now dint get me wrong. I’m not having a real go at jose yet but it’s in the post. The problem remains, and aint going anytime soon so give poch a break eh its getting boring
Well Dele is stupid and lazy if he thinks falling out with the manager gets you back in the England squad.
You’ve got a tash Dele: MAN UP
I don’t understand why Levy chose Mourinho if he had no plans to back him financially? Makes no sense. Mourinho is a cheque book manager who chooses his own players. Hardly a match made in heaven – I mean aside from the fact that Levy is tighter than Beyoncé’s leggings, he’s also a total control freak when it comes to transfers, and couldn’t find a top player if one fell out of the sky in front of him. He’s got about a 2% success rate and that’s explainable by luck.
What we should have done with the loan was to spend 80% on the stadium and hold back 20% for new players. Most fans don’t care one jot for cheese rooms or the longest bar in Europe etc. Nor for it’s use as a events arena particularly either. The only use I can think for the skywalk is to get Lewis and Levy up there next time a hurricane is forecast for England…
Pochettino should have been rewarded for his outstanding achievements for the club with a £200m war chest to spend on players HE WANTED on the completion of the stadium, so that not only would it prove a true theatre of dreams, but the team residing there could also be equally potent.
To cut a long story short Pochettino’s wonderful side, rightly lauded all over the world and feared throughout Europe, died when White Hart Lane was pulled down.
Exactly. I am not even sure he really wanted to leave Spurs and London, but he was on circa £70,000 per week, well below his peer group at the club and well below the valuation that Levy attributed to him of £150 mill. So instead of paying him what he was worth, Levy ended up selling him for £16 mill and some fans thought that was a good deal. I believe that Poch wanted Fernandes to replace him, but we know how that went begging.
Delli Alli just bought a Rolls Royce for £390.000.
Heinz or Levy’s favourite, HP
Braced myself to watch the Everton game. Not surprised Dele got hooked at half time. I think that was a message for the entire squad. There were some lacklustre performances from players who can do better, no names (Dier, cough) but good to see Hojbjerg and Doherty putting the effort in as did Sonny. If Harry Winks can’t play with his head up he should not be in midfield – James absolutely p*ssed all over him. That said, I’m not entirely convinced by Everton and it was more our poor defending than their brilliance that got them the goal. Our intent in the final 3rd needs to improve as we were quite predictable and no real penetration – too many of our attacks stalled 20 – 25 yds out because no one could pick a pass, hit a cross or run into space. In general, a lack of intelligent movement off the ball and in support. Lots of work to do (sigh).
Latest “ITK” now doing the rounds
No real backing ever from ENIC. All the crap articles on Spurs news , we are after this 1 or that 1 & nothing ever happens. But this has gone on for 40 years, not just ENIC. We always hesitate. Kept reading Castagne , now hes at Leicester & didnt even hear he had gone there. Just do business quickly
Name your source Agbonlahor
Insufficient backing at the new place? Most definitely.
Yes we are missing Eriksen’s input, but not the version of his last 18 months. As soon as it became apparent he wanted to go we should have sold him ,while his stock was high.
But Levy wanted to play hard ball and his value plummeted from 150M[Levy’s dream] and 20M.This is one of the positions that is an absolute priority for replacing.

Jack Grealish has decided to end any speculation regarding any transfers instead signing for another five years fighting relegation with the Villa.
Agree & I am a big Lo Celso fan
Haven’t really seen much of Harvey apart from brief highlights. Hopefully you are right.
He’s much better than winks (skipp) Nope. Harvey stays.
Harvey looks a good player. Think he will benefit from a loan. Certainly can pick a pass that boy. I know why they did it, but I’d have kept Skipp, who I think is already better than Winks.
Sissy – £15M 😉
Don’t forget my boy Harvey white
What have you done with Sissoko?
…which I’ve now corrected.
…and I’ve completely missed out Lo Celso! Not intended of course.
It’s not going to happen now as Levy doesn’t operate like this and it’s too late in the window, but in an ideal world our window would have panned out something like this:
Aurier – £15M
Dele – £60M
N’Dombele – £50M
Rose – £3M
Foyth – £10M
Winks – £15M
Davies – £12M
Throw in maybe £20M on top (that’s about our average net anyway) and Jose would have £180M or so to spend on reshaping the squad.
The issue would then still be 1). Our scouting network appears to be non-existent; value-for-money signings such as those made by Leicester and Wolves are simply not how we function.
2). Is Jose the best judge of character in the transfer market?
3). Salary restriction.
4). Levy time!
So with that in mind, could we have made feasible approaches for the following:
Castagne – £21M
Van Den Beek – £40M
Reguilon – £22M
Doucoure – £20M
Milik – £24M
Perisic – £12M
Diaz – £38M
N’didi – £45M (or even Allan who was under £30M)
Lloris
Castagne Alderweireld Diaz Reguilon
N’Didi V Den Beek
Son Lo Celso Perisic
Kane
Gazzaniga
Tanganga
Cirkin
Sanchez
Dier
Sessegnon
Doucoure
Skipp
Fernandes
Lamela
Lucas
Berjgwin
Milik
Parrott
I’m playing fantasy footie, but I’m sure we could have done something. Whoever is shaping this squad is seriously out of tune with reality.
Sorry there’s so much sarcasm I never know ,most people have been hammering him and I missed your point which was very true.
Exactly my point, and that was a non-vintage Dele season. Sell him and who is replacing that contribution? Sissoko?
There has been news of Jose wanting to ship out Dele going around since when he was injured. So nothing new here by the looks. Only gives the original news some more weight.
I have looked and Dele’s are better than Grealish Maddison and Mount over games played, goals & assists. Dele p25 g8 a4, Grealish p36 g8 a6 Maddison p31 g6 a3. ,Mount p37 g7 a5. Thirteen games missed with injury and missing his strike partner Kane & Sonny for long spells.
Can imagine
