Plausible XI to Shatter some Toffee tomorrow… and recoup Spurs’ self respect

By The Boy -

Everton indoors will be less about who plays, and more about who wants to play. The Sheffield United game was an affront on Spurs’ good name. Since that dark stormy teatime, The Boy Hotspur has discovered that The Blades were all on a promise for that game, one worth £10million in bonuses to be sprinkled liberally across Chris Wilder’s coaching staff and squad.

Well guess what, Tottenham’s players were also on a promise, for a yet to be revealed bonus for securing Champions League football. I guess the Yorkshiremen where just more motivated, eh?

Jose Mourinho is well within his rights to be peeved with his squad, and if there’s no fight from Tottenham tomorrow night, then The Special One has no choice but to start selling players that are no use to him.

Mourinho’s going nowhere and all the blubbing in the world won’t bring Pochettino back WHO, was also spiralling down the league before he was sacked!

Only because he made them that way with his training methods. But we only ever had one striker on our books – our achilles heel. Levy just needed to invest a bit more and we would have been world beaters.

Not disagreeing your research, just in current climate I would be shocked if any of our rejects shift for money.

Didn’t he have a team close to the value of the club once? a billion? the most valuable team in the world at the time?

Sheffield Utd gave a demoralised, disjointed side of Spurs misfits a hiding. So what.

They wont be in the Champions league any time soon, and are still a distinct level below where we should be aiming.

I agree you don’t always have to pay stupid money for quality footballers, but you need to know what you are doing if you’re going to play moneyball effectively. Levy does not. The last twenty years prove that beyond a doubt.

Yet he still trys his Saturday Swapshop pittance routine where quality in concerned. All that does is alienate people and leave us with rejects.

When our season is this terrible why not say f$%k it 3-2-3-2 toby, dier 🤢(toby tell him what to do it be ok), sanchez, ndombele, siss or winks (depending on if we fancy sideways running or passing), then couls have lamela/gedson (remember going f#$k it), alli, lo celso, finally kane and son/bergwijn/moura (depending on where kane wants to be lol)

Yes i see the light defence and wing issue but f##k it 6 games seasons shot start the pre season enic aint buying and we know it

Championship players at championship prices gave us a lesson when Sheffield took us to the cleaners. You don’t have to pay stupid money, good coaching of players with the right attitude & hard work goes a long way.

We are only headed in one direction at the moment with no sign of Levy changing his transfer policy. I’ll give you a clue…it’s the opposite of north.

Until our supporters are united in their condemnation of ENIC and vote with their wallets, then Levy will continue get away with whatever he can. He’s already trying to get away with paying insulting Championship prices for talented players, and not even that sometimes.

Yet here you are constantly claiming we’re ‘coming for le conquer’. ‘Nonsense’ is in the eye of the beholder good sir.

And there is part of the problem. We are keeping players in aurier and Sissoko who no other top six team would have near them. Open your eyes we need players with quality who also give it all not just one of two. The manager needs to clear the squad and there is no better time. No European football means less games and covid means deals can be done. Be brave or pay the price next season.

Who on the out ?The in prices are the ones being talked about.Transfermarkt have Moura at £28.8m? And Rose about £14m? It was more looking at covering every position that we need replacing and the players we have been linked with.Even if we had a nett spend of double the estimate it’s not a massive amount.

I don’t think that’s as crazy as most would assume. Levy wouldn’t have to spend anywhere near as much on players, and there’d still be a queue of mug-I-mean-fans out the gate swearing it was all part of his masterplan for Spurs world domination.

6 games left 12 points needed to catch top 4 (assuming the teams between us and there pick up no points). With all due respect, winning means f all this season now. I want to see something that makes me think watching next season is worth it. Since Jose I have seen maybe 45mins total of football that I would consider acceptable. Anyone with aspirations of competing under Jose under ENIC – I have some magic beans and under water showers for sale!

Poch started his managerial journey in 2009 in Spain. Was sacked in England 10 years later having managed two clubs here. In them 10 years he won nothing

I have thought that a few times this season and each time they fail. I am sorry but we have gone backwards under Jose. he has no excuse as when he came he made a big song and dance that the squad was strong enough. None of the basic coaching errors have been resolved, we look far worse fitness wise and simply dreadful both on and off the ball. I am just hoping now that we don’t get relegated before Jose and levy leave.

Just can’t see a result for us tomorrow. Took a last minute free kick from Eriksen to scrape a draw last season after getting outfought for much of the game. Everton are stronger now whilst we’ve gone backwards.

You’re overlooking Levy Jnr. He’s one dose of alopecia away from a carbon copy. Our future chairman in training no doubt.

Somebody needs to kidnap Levy and ransom him off for more that Joe can afford. That would give us some breathing space. There can’t be another Levy on this planet to replace him with.

He only goes for cheap players that nobody else is in for, hence we will end up with a team of rejects. He’s been working on achieving that goal for a number of years now. I think he fancies being a big fish in a small pond in the Championship.

Everton are on the up with Carlo, a man who has improved his team despite Everton starting worse than us when they had Silva at the helm. He has got them defensively sound with the same players that were leaker than a Clint Eastwood plumbing job. Pity our guy couldn’t do that. Despite having an awful season Ch Lg wasn’t far off. I agree with James Mc, Richarlison is decent but Calvert Lewin will run all day for them. Digne is the player I would have as full back. I didn’t think Bergwijn was a good No. 10 v Sheffield Utd, he has done much better out wide. Son needs to give us a game, he’s had 3 poor games in a row.

You’d think that they would at least put in an effort after the Sheffield game. I wouldn’t write us off, Everton are a bit light in midfield, but we need to watch Richarlison.

We won’t beat Everton. There is no fight in the players, and no creativity in the formation. Will be a crap dull game, much like the next 3yrs.

Sissoko especially. If we had world class midfielders to replace him then happy days. But still keep him as a squad player. Plays with his heart on his sleeve.

Not a cat in hells chance Levy leaves transfers to a director of football. He is famously secretive giving very few interviews but I believe he said he lives for the transfer window working the phones with a team that includes his son, another football genius, it obviously runs in the family.

😆 i would keep half of those, but sell many more… Full transition needed now for sure.. And youre right a proper director working in tune with maureen is desperately needed. And maureen choosing who stays, who goes, and who comes in.. Levy and whoevers scouting needs switching. 15 mil a year for maureen then surely he should be bringing players in. Not Levy he’s clearly clueless.. If Hitchen is still head scout then i wonder about him too.

Tripps coming out saying he didn’t want to go but Poch wasn’t committed and Levy refused to tell him why he wanted him gone…get a director of football, tell him the absolute budget and payment structure, then leave him to it Levy and get away from football…

Man City just got the best part of 55m for Sane, great player, but injury prone and 1 year left on his contract, great business for City to reinvest

Sell Alli, Sissoko, Dier, Rose, Foyth, Lamela, Oreo and Jan will go on a free..that’s a few quid with lots of wages to play with….let’s stop being sentimental and get rid for the new generation and buy the right players…
