Mourinho targeting fellow countryman in his quest to land striker

By Bruce Grove -

90mins is exclusively reporting that Tottenham is interested in signing Braga striker, Paulinho.

The Lilywhites will sign a new striker before this transfer window closes claims a confident Jose Mourinho.

The special one has seen the club buy some of his targets in this transfer window, but as he prepares to end the club’s wait for a trophy, he needs another striker.

Harry Kane is reliable enough, but he has suffered from different injuries in recent seasons, and when he has been out. The club struggled while using the likes of Dele Alli and Lucas Moura as their target man last season.

If Kane remains fit throughout the season, the Lilywhites will get goals, but his fitness cannot be banked on and that is why it has become important to sign a backup striker.

The report claims that Mourinho is looking for an experienced goalscorer and that is why he is considering a move for his fellow countryman, Paulinho.

The striker scored against Wolves in the Europa League last season and that was one of 25 strikes that he had for his team.

At 27, this might also be the best period of his career and he will come with a lot of experience.
