Mourinho monitoring soon to be the out-of-contract striker

By Bruce Grove -

One role that Tottenham wanted to sort out in the last transfer window was their striker position.

The Lilywhites were keen to stop relying on just Harry Kane and they went all out to get another striker that would give them goals when Kane isn’t fit or when they have to rest him.

After missing out on several targets, they landed Carlos Vinicius on a season-long loan deal from Benfica.

The Brazilian had a fine campaign last season and Spurs have signed him to add more goals

Vinicius hasn’t been trusted to play in the Premier League yet as he has seen less than 20 minutes of Premier League action.

Football London is now tipping Spurs to make a move for another striker in the Portuguese league.

The report claims that Mourinho is monitoring the FC Porto striker, Moussa Marega.

The French-born Malian is one of the top strikers in the Portuguese league and he has already scored 61 goals for them since the 2017/2018 season, making him one of the most experienced goal getters that Spurs can sign.

It adds that he will be out of contract at the end of this season and that might see Tottenham get him on a free transfer in a deal that might be better than signing Vinicius permanently.
