Mourinho has a selection headache and his excuses will soon dry up

The one thing about Jose Mourinho is that he is never short of excuses, it is never his fault but there comes a point where the buck stops with him and we are now at that stage.

Mourinho more or less has a full squad to choose from, he has forwards available, Alli is no longer suspended and fitness is no longer an issue in comparison to our opponents.

Tomorrow night West Ham visit the Tottenham stadium fresh from a 2-0 beating at the hands of Wolves and there is no reason why Mourinho cannot field a strong attacking line up and take the game to the Hammers.

Harry Kane now has a full 90 minutes under his belt, same with Son Heung-min. Giovani Lo Celso should be better for his cameo appearance, Steven Bergwijn looks sharp and there is still Dele Alli, Lucas Moura and Tanguy Ndombele to be introduced.

In fact, Mourinho now has a selection headache in that he has an abundance of choice available to him. Does he drop Erik Lamela for Alli? Will Moura be able to get a starting spot? What about Ndombele? Mourinho certainly has players available to him to see off David Moyes men.

It was understandable why Mourinho employed the tactics he did against United, I still thought he chose wrong and should have gone after them but I do understand why he did what he did.

That will not wash tomorrow night, negativity against West Ham is simply unacceptable, he has the talent available to go after that lot and record a long overdue win.

Excuses are no longer acceptable, not under the current situation because Tottenham now have a lot in their favour and if Tottenham blows this opportunity of picking up three points then it will be down to Mourinho and no one else.

If we go 1 up we will sit back and try to hit them on the break as they have to come out and score. I’m not saying I like it particularly, but that is what will happen.

In recent seasons the spammers have delighted in getting one over on us and none more so than when they are in trouble themselves.Tomorrow night could be 2 more dropped points unless we turn up.With a full squad to choose from there are no excuses.

Well said Bruce.. Knowing Maureen though we will give them the ball and let them play, sit deep, soak up their attacks and hit them on the counter…. The plan was give manure the ball because they couldnt play.. Fools logic to me. Manure did play us and lloris saved us from losing. Rashford should have scored one of those at least. Everyones banging on about de geas blunder because hes top blunderpuss this season. But noones mentioning our unsung hero Hugo Lloris kept us from losing. Top shot stopper Hugo the cat.

Agree Bruce, we will see if there is a plan B against West Ham, because we need one, we’re not good enough yet to go one up and sit for eighty minutes.
