Pablo Zabaleta, speaking exclusively to Ladbrokes for The Boy Hotspur at its launch of the 5-A-Side Bet on Man United v Man City was quick to express his appreciation of what José Mourinho has begun to do at Tottenham. The former Manchester City and West Ham United right back counts Spurs in the six that will end up contesting the Premier League title.
It’s no surprise that Hojbjerg gets the nod, above all of José’s signings, he’s precisely the type of player that wins titles. It was an extraordinary bit of business to snap the Dane up for so little.
Whilst there’s nothing earth shattering in Pablo’s comments, it is worth making a small mention that the 35-year-old didn’t seize upon the opportunity to whine about the manner in which Mourinho has begun what he has begun. Zabeleta is a twice a Premier League title winner, a World Cup runner-up, a player that boasts a CV littered with 20th century silverware.
