Mourinho doesn’t expect an easy ride from Spurs’ Bulgarian opponents

By Bruce Grove -

Jose Mourinho is expecting a tough match from Ludogorets when his team faces the Bulgarian champions on Thursday.

Spurs will be looking to get their Europa League campaign back on track after they were beaten 1-0 by Royal Antwerp in Belgium last weekend.

Mourinho’s side beat Brighton in the Premier League at the weekend to get back to winning ways, but the tactician seems to have done his homework about Thursday’s opponents.

He claims that he expects a good match against the Bulgarian giants and adds that his team has already played the second-best team in Bulgaria and it was a tough match.

He also praised them for winning nine league titles and claimed that only teams like Bayern Munich have been able to manage such a feat.

He also adds that his team needs points and they will play this game with that desire in mind.

He said as quoted by Football London: “I expect a good match. We play already against the second best team in Bulgaria and it was a tough match. This will be tough. Nine league titles for Ludogorets is not for everyone. Maybe Bayern Munich and teams like that. We need points and we go to Bulgaria with this in mind. Technical team with very good quality.”
