We’ve all been left hanging going for a high-five. It’s a humiliating experience, especially when the cameras are there to catch it.
Son Heung-min was the Tottenham Hotspur player who felt this heart-dropping pain after Tuesday’s 4-2 win over Olympiacos.
The South Korean was desperate to get a high-five from Jose Mourinho, but his new boss seemed more concerned with consoling opposition players Jose Sa and Daniel Podence.
He does eventually get to Son but only after a heart-dropping wait. Watch the video below to show Mourinho’s brutal blanking!
Mourinho blatantly airing Son, then acting like he didn’t see him is vintage Jose. This is brilliant 😂😂 pic.twitter.com/KHPxDkt94m

Sa and Podence are both Portuguese compatriots of Mourinho which may give some context to his post-match pecking order.
If he was brave enough to face this potential embarrassment again, Son may have got a high-five from Jose yesterday after a couple of assists in our 3-2 victory over Bournemouth.
