Sacking José Mourinho a week before a domestic cup final was churlish and only served to add to the footballing misery at Tottenham. It was perhaps symptomatic of the unbridled chaos within the club at the time as leaked audio from Jamie Redknapp emerged, which suggested that the decision had in part been a financial one. Again this re-endorses a widely held view that at Spurs, trophies are some sort of frippery and that the real prize is keeping the club gently tipping away, earning Premier League placing and broadcast monies.

It’s possible, they were outplayed by Chelsea in the CL final and it was only 1-0 to them even with clueless Mason in charge. Point is he should have been given the chance, but as usual Levy put money before success.
I dont think Jose could have won that final with these players.
I was not unhappy to see Jose go – at least he didn’t sucker punch anyone this time (as far as I know).
25 1/2 🤣
Churlish is a mild word for what Levy did.
And on the muppets tonight. Top prize goes to you for a load of old dung. Yes of course football has been about money but if you open your eyes you will see some clubs spend the money they get. Some do the very well others not so well. Some clubs realise how important the fans are reference Burnley last home game free for fans, Leicester although they lost to us and so lost a cl spot the chairman went around handing out shirts new season shirts. Then we get to the bottom of the pile and the rotten apple in the barrel. Daniel levy, enic and the board. They charge the fans £60 to watch the last game put them high up away from the players and then although promising a walk round by the players the minion announced safe home. Great mickey mouse club run by scrounge.

I think you’ll find that the 20+ years of ENIC at Spurs say all you need to know about their intentions. Mourinho has form for winning everywhere EXCEPT Spurs. Our players are not good enough. Even their best performances aren’t good enough because they are not good enough. Who buys the players (or not for two successive windows)?
You got that wrong, there are a certain group of players that got Poch sacked, got Jose sacked and have reportedly said they didn’t fancy Conte because like Jose, he’s no nonsense and they would have to work for a living instead of playing Fortnight and discussing chocolate bars, toothpaste and hair styles
