Moura Heads Home To Score Spurs’ Second Against The U’s|video

By The Boy -

For s short guy, Lucas Moura has a remarkable talent for getting up in the air. His numbers for aerial duels won are always respectable. This goal was a nice touch, rather reminiscent of his strike against Manchester City in the 2019/20 season.

This was a game that in truth I saw very little of as the overall quality was poor and then there were issues with the stream and I gave up the ghost. The game against Chelsea and Arsenal are far more likely to give us a sense of which direction we are heading in…

Does anyone know where N’Dombele is?

I take it he’s having another pre-season off?

Was that down to our previous 2 managers I wonder? Hopefully Nuno will have been equally impressed by CCV. Though of course a new CB is likely coming in anyway.

It always impresses me how well Moura can jump for his size, he’s like a leaping salmon. Personally I hope we keep him, he’s a useful addition to the team and gets his share of goals and assists, certainly far more than Lo Celso for example.

1st half was a typical obvious mismatch & a bit of a ‘training match’ with some good movement & interplay.
& I’ve been saying exactly the same about CCV for a while, he’s big, strong, reasonably quick, has commitment & desire, defends better than Sanchez for sure & he’s only 23 & ‘home grown’
So, what gives?

I missed the 1st half but thought the 2nd was fairly even even when they brought on their reserves.

Now I know I am in a minority but for the life of me I cant see why CCV isnt in the squad especially when he is up against the Chuckle Brothers for a spot.
