It sounds as if this deal was somewhat of a coup for Millwall, in so much that Parrott and Spurs both selected the London side from a quite a short list, which was rumoured to include Celtic.
It looks as if Parrott could gain himself some valuable experience at Millwall, but he will need to deliver during his season away. The Championship is a new battle every week, and there will be no automatic place for the Irishman if he cannot earn the trust of his new gaffer.
At Spurs, Mourinho gave a flat âheâs not readyâ when asked about the boy back in March, but what was concerning was Jose telling the press that Troy needed help on AND off of the pitch.
Marcus Edwards clearly had issues when loaned to Norwich City and was incapable of reliably arriving on time for training in Norfolk. Parrott needs to earn glowing reports during his time at The Den.
I am not a Jose fan, not even close! Can’t stand the guy or his football and have no interest in winning something playing A style I can’t watch. Just saying, would take the ropey and 8th over 4th. I do agree though, risk wise top 4 is best.
Whats the least risky and practical approach? Concentrate on the league, we werenât that far away in the end points wise, just depends if Jose is any good anymore.
Would you employ Van Gaal, Capello these days because of how good they were 15 years ago? Not saying Jose has slipped that far but history tells us managers have their purple patch which lasts a certain time.
Spurs linked with Troy deeney this morning, I don’t like him, but could be a good addition, he is a leader and a decent goal getter. I wonder if dacoure wouldn’t be a bad shout either.
Millwall fans will not accept anything less than best from spurs player.
I would happily finish 8th and win the ropey. Both 4th and the ropey make champs League, but one is a trophy. Issue would be 8th and losing the final because we don’t have to players.
Kazakhstan, Cyprus, Lithuania, Moldova. I hope we go out early and can concentrate on the league, Jose goes all out to win that sh*te over the league just to enhance his flagging career and we finish outside the top 4 again? Not for me…
Chelski has been run as a charity & profile building project, Spurs
has been run for profit & brand building. Apples & oranges.
The Chelsea academy produces Mount whilst our academy produces the master of the sideways pass; Wonksy.
Nice to see some entertaining attacking football, I’d forgotten what that was after watching Spurs.
Dumps us into 3 qualifying matches before the group stages, to God’s knows where.
How does Arsenal winning impact us again for Ropey?
We definitely need to buy Zouma.I don’t think he has made one forward pass tonight.
I’m green with envy Chelsea have the boy Pulisic
Looks a great fit. They obviously think he has the confidence and the attitude to thrive in that tough old environment. Troy knows himself it’s somewhere they will demand 100% all the time but he says he’s well up for it and is hungry to perform in front of them. He has a quality and a spite to his game they will love down there. Hopefully it will be the making of him as it was for Ted and Harry.
