David Ornstein from the BBC says that No’Cluedo is off to Monaco.

This is a loan deal.

Sadly.

For those vaguely interested in some details, that’s the princely sum of £20,000 a week off of the wage bill. The man who was once photographed wearing a Chelsea shirt managed to make 26 appearances and score one solitary goal.

Here we have a prime example of a Danny Darling Special.

A punt that was designed to escalate in value, opposed to a purchase to boost the the team on, to aid it winning trophies.

The way this club is run isn’t parody, but it is beneath contempt.

One can but wonder how many season ticket holders are refusing to even discuss Spurs with their friends and family these days.

Even for your average well heeled punter, there are always trade offs with wives and partners when it comes to these sort of ‘indulgences’.

A season ticket at Tottenham right now is like buying £1000 coat and having to sheepishly tell the missus, ‘I’ll grow into it, won’t I?’ every time you leave the house, looking like an extra from Honey I Shrank The Kids.

There have already been corporate refunds.

If we really did go in for Batshuayi you literally may as well remove all staff from the building involved in our scouting team….as if Chelsea would give him to us anyway…”we tried”…bla bla bla..Levy has turned what is something normal into a stigma…

No surprise really. Savvy clubs use the Jan window to seed the lesser teams with loans that won’t bite them in the bum but might scuttle their close rivals. As Chelsea are chasing us, there was no way they would give us a hand in keeping ahead of them.

  • Panama Paul April 10, 2019 at 5:35 pm

Batshuayi – PML when I read we were “trying” for him. ENIC smoke and mirrors for all the Dum Dums.”Oh well, we tried but it was Chelsea, What do you expect?” Another one that supposedly got away – how can one club be so unlucky in the transfer window? Oh yeah, we’re run by a bean counter and a coffin dodger.

Batsuey would have been the signing of more garbage. He is a Chsea flop who has scored 3 goals in 21 games for Valencia and they couldn’t wait to offload him. I hope the rumours of our interest were not true.

    • SpursGoliath April 11, 2019 at 8:26 am

If it was only a loan you would have either signed up a flop for a few months or Poch works his magic and gets the lad purring and then what? You’ve done some player development for Chelsea. Passing on that one was a ‘no-brainer’ – he most likely wasn’t going to add much more than Moura and Son really, asking him to hit the ground running for only 15 or so games? Nonsense one that.

  • Exile April 10, 2019 at 5:35 pm

If we didn’t find anyone in the last window to buy it was hardly surprising that we didn’t buy anyone in this one. There’s clearly no money available due to the costs of the project and all that the club was going to try to do was offload as much as they could.
It does show the sense of priorities that the club felt it best take the money on Mousa rather than let him go for nothing, when we are desperately short in the midfield area. taking 10 million now and missing out on 60 million from cl is Daniels calculation, I’m sure he put it through the spreadsheet.

  • Ronan April 10, 2019 at 5:35 pm
