Marca Vice Prez Says Spurs Transfer Is Ruled Out

By The Boy -

Translates to: After getting Hazard, Jovic and Mendy, Real Madrid will now focus on selling some players and making a final attempt for Pogba.

But if [Manchester] United refuses to give up [Pogba], they will look for another alternative, which is no longer Eriksen. He has been ruled out.

Carlos Carpio, is the vice president of Marca – who, if anything, are by far and away the Spanish media outlet most heavily wired in to Real Madrid.

Of course, this is a mixed blessing.

Christian Eriksen’s sale would have been a massively important element in Tottenham’s restructuring this summer.

Some fans will argue that keeping the squad together has its own merits, alas the Dane’s contract was run down because he was unwilling to commit to Spurs.

Equally, the 27 year-old’s form was haphazard during the 2018/19 seasosn and it is difficult to be upbeat about a ‘sudden’ transformation of Christian into the force he once was.

In a nutshell, Eriksen looks as if he’s had enough of Tottenham.

well looks like another year of hitting the first defender on corners and lots of running but backing out of confrontations. Has he ever one a 50/50 ball? He pulls out of almost every confrontation. Yeah so he stays healthy that way, but I think there is someone out there who will make the 50/50 challenge and win some and give us what CE gives us offensively. Will Levy pay for them is the question.

Totally agree, people will point to stats but stats don’t always paint a proper pic. Yes he runs alot, but when he really needs to? Not for me. We all agree deadballs are so bad it’s beneath shit. Goals ain’t great for an alleged attacking genius and his assists tally must be helped greatly having harry in front of him. Altho I’ve got the hump with alli at the moment as well I can’t help wondering if he was freed to play in that kind of area, given he has a naughty side would it improve his performances

Be careful what you wish for Christian. We all know that a contract was put to him last summer so can only be 1 of 2 things. He really has had enough of the club and wants out, or that twat has offered way below market rate again. Either way leaves us in a pickle, as I for one would gladly let him go. However it may be the most prudent road to get him on a decent contract and give him chance to get his potential buyers back in for him again

It looks as if Eriksen’s attitude last season has really backfired on everyone. No money in for him will heavily impact our ability to move in the transfer market { Levy not withstanding }.
I don’t think anyone apart from Real have been linked with him and his attitude won’t have impressed any possible suitors.
Once again Levy would seem to have fucked up by not recognising market forces.Welcome to his Bizzaro world.
Still Harry should be good for another 90 games this season.
In responce to the earlier article I don’t think Kane has been right since his injury prior to the WC.His performances during that tournament were below par only disguised by his golden boot {including 3 penalties} and continued in that vein throughout last season.
Despite his insistence in playing when clearly not fully fit it was Poch’s responsibility to Kane and the team to allow him sufficient recovery time. This was born out by his performance in the CL final even allowing for the fact that any service up to him wasn’t good enough.

Good news. CE has been key to everything good that has happened under poch in the past five years. Vital now that he signs a new improved contract and is not allowed to run out his existing one. Key to that is to quickly bring in a big supporting player like Ndombele. Something to convince all the top players (and poch) that the club is serious about progressing.
