Manchester United agree to loan out Tottenham target

By Bruce Grove -

Manchester United has agreed to loan out Jesse Lingard this month as he is linked with a move away from the club.

With the arrival of the likes of Bruno Fernandes and the return to form of Paul Pogba, Lingard has struggled to play for the Red Devils in recent months.

The midfielder was in top form when Jose Mourinho managed United, and he had his most productive seasons under the Portuguese boss.

Because of this, the Special One has been linked with a move for him this month (Mail).

If Tottenham allows Dele Alli to leave the club, they will need a new midfielder, and that might see them move for Lingard.

ESPN says that Ole Gunnar Solkjaer has agreed to loan out the midfielder this month after he initially wanted to keep him as a backup option.

The midfielder will be keen to join a team where he can play more often and Mourinho can convince him that he could rediscover his form playing under his management again.

With their manager now ready to let him leave, the report says the final decision now rests in the hands of the United’s board, and his future will be made clear in the next few days.

I doubt they will loan him to a direct rival.
