Manchester City forward discusses his future amid links to Tottenham, Arsenal

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur is keen on improving their forward group to add scoring depth behind Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. The latest name linked to the north London club is Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus, who appears to be on the move.

Arsenal and Spurs are reportedly in on the Jesus, who has one more year left on his deal. The 25-year-old recently spoke with ESPN Brazil, where he discussed his future amid a possible exit this summer.

Jesus states that he has a contract with Manchester City for another season and that he has expressed it to his agent and the coaching staff at the Premier League.

“I am happy to be able to be part of this Man City side,” Jesus said. “I came here for almost six years, expecting to win titles, and I think we are succeeding in doing that.”

“About my future; it is still unsettled. I have a contract with City and I have already made my wish known to City’s staff and my agent. I am very sure in my mind of what I want.”

Nonetheless, with Erling Haaland coming in, Jesus won’t see much time at the center-forward position, but the Brazilian can play out on the wing, which he did this past season. However, Manchester City might be keen on selling him to help fund any other transfers this summer.
