Ludogorets coach relishing battle with Jose Mourinho

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham will face Bulgarian side, Ludogorets in the Europa League this week as they continue their hunt for a trophy.

After a fine start to the campaign, they were beaten 1-0 by Royal Antwerp in their second Europa League group game of the season the last time out.

Jose Mourinho knows that his team has to respond very well to that defeat, but they will be facing a very good Ludogorets side that has won 9 Bulgarian league titles in the last 10 years.

Their interim coach Stanislav Genchev has admitted that it is a dream come true for his team to play against a club like Tottenham in the competition.

He is relishing the chance to face Jose Mourinho, one of the most successful managers in Europe and he claims that beating Spurs will be an even bigger dream.

He then adds that he admires Mourinho a lot and that it is “exceptional” to face the Spurs boss.

To play against Tottenham is a dream come true and it would be an even bigger dream to beat them”, Genchev told a press conference, as quoted by InsideFutbol.

On facing Mourinho, he adds: “It is an exceptional thing to go up such against an amazing coach, who I really admire.”
