5 Takeaways From The Ludogorets Presser

By The Boy -

ROYAL ANTWERP RESULT José didn’t believe the attitude was right from the boys (as he made clear after the game) and that perhaps the players had felt oh it’s only the group phase, but either way, it wasn’t on. “We weren’t there to win it, we were just there waiting for the victory to find us” which is tremendous to hear.

TOMORROW’S GAME Mourinho is hell-bent in winning every game. Make no mistake.

TANGUY wasn’t pulling his weight (no pun intended) when José arrived, and so the gaffer ‘fought’ against that state of mind. Mourinho expects more, but he still doesn’t believe that the player is fit enough.

PENALTY CALL Mourinho is zero doubt about the voracity of Harry Kane’s claim. In fact José suggested anyone with an issue might wish to look at Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool if they are seeking to expose cheats – which given the recent Saha penalty against West Ham, is I would suggest, extremely fair comment.

INTERNATIONAL BREAK Mourinho’s attitude is he only expects negative things from the games, in the respect of his own players.

Jose’s Chelsea (the first time) were a superior side to the current Liverpool setup – f’ck smothering, they went steamroller’ing.

If you believe we could match Liverpool man for man using their system I dunno, maybe.

Maybe we’d win more games, maybe not. Like a lot of teams after the last international break we focused on being more cautious and letting in less goals, possibly just wait and see.

He will rely on those two and Bale big time. Of course we’ll win the odd game by big margins but there will be a lot of slog it out matches. I prefer the Klopp approach of smother the opponent with attacking movement. Not done them any harm has it?

I know he can play. Sledge hammer of a left foot. He’ll “cut it. Harvey and Dennis will make it here, along with oliver. Woulda been great to get the Europa group won early to give Harvey and Dennis full games. Some good players gonna come out of the academy in the next few years. Our academy gonna pay for our stadium over the next 25 years. Troy Parrott £200+ million soon🌚. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT OUR DEBT. billions apon billions gonna pass through our place over the next quarter century🌚

Such a pity about Rondon it would be perfect and if it worked out could form a new decent partnership with likely candidate Toby.

Agree ,due to the strange circumstance in stadiums and how everyones form is all over the place we do actually have a chance from what was no chance at the end of last season.

If he can keep Son and Kane to a single goal between them every game all season then that would be more of an unlikely feat than winning the league.

Sissy Is bigger than Winks, other than that I see no advantage of one over the other. Neither have played really well for ages…

If we win every game 1-0 and win the league I won’t complain. If we do that and win nothing i’ll be furious! 😂

The man is still saying all the right things, hoping for a real statement of intent performance in the next few games – another United drubbing etc

Not seen much of White so far. What do you know about him Tappa? I hope he cuts it.

That would be an improvement! I was thinking he’ll want some sort of midfield rotation.

I’m expecting a stronger team tomorrow night to hit the ground running. We can still afford a few changes but not 9. Here’s the starting XI id like to see:

Hart
Doherty
Toby
Sanchez
Davies
Hoijberg
Lo Celso
Winks
Moura
Vinicius
Bale
