Louis Saha tells Spurs how they can beat Liverpool

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham will face Liverpool in the Premier League this evening with both teams looking to end the night at the top of the league table.

Spurs head into the game at league leaders, but the Lilywhites are only ahead of Liverpool on goal difference.

The Reds have been decimated by injuries at the back, yet they have managed to stay competitive, and they have been matching Tottenham’s results for the last two weeks.

This game will be a tough test for both teams’ title credentials and former Spurs man, Louis Saha has offered some advice to his former side on how they can win the game.

He said that it will be a tough game, but Tottenham players will head into the game in a confident mood because they will have benefited from Jose Mourinho’s consistency in his team selections.

He says that the players that have been picked consistently know exactly what is required of them and that will serve them well in this game, and they have Kane who can score from the few chances that he gets.

“Mourinho won’t change for the Liverpool game – consistency is what is important,” he said as quoted by Football London

“The players need to feel confident about going into the game.

“Everyone at Tottenham understands their duty and what is required from them. But Liverpool have this as well – sometimes they don’t play well but they still do enough to win the game.

“Liverpool are a tough team to beat, they press so you need to be deadly – you have two chances to score against them and when you have a player like Harry Kane, he will make sure he scores. This is the confidence that it takes to win a title.”
