“Looking uncertain” – Journalist claims reliable Tottenham star could be sold this summer

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is the latest player whose future has been deemed “uncertain”.

That’s according to journalist Tom Barclay who claims that the star midfielder could leave this summer.

New manager Ange Postecoglou is expected to shake things up this summer with a number of players expected to leave and several new faces set to join.

Tottenham confirmed yesterday that Lucas Moura, Clement Lenglet and Arnaut Danjuma are all set to leave this summer.

Hugo Lloris is also expected to leave after admitting his desire for a new challenge. He has been linked with a return to his hometown club Nice and has also been offered a lucrative offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal.

And now as per Barclay, the Denmark international’s future at the club is ‘looking uncertain‘ as well.

It’s reported that the qualities of the 27-year-old may not suit the style of play Ange Postecoglou wants to instill which has put a question mark on his future at the club.

He has two years left in his current contract with Tottenham. But if he is not going to be part of the Australian’s plans, it could be possible that Spurs will cash in on him this transfer window.

He joined Spurs in 2020 after impressing the club with his performances for Southampton.

And since joining he has been one of Spurs consistent and reliable players in the midfield.

It remains to be seen whether the Dane manages to impress Postecoglou or if he’ll be sold off this summer as Spurs aim a big squad overhaul.
