Lo Celso’s Very Best Moments & Analysis vs Burnley [video]

By The Boy -

Giovani was sorely missed in the first half, and it was to José’s credit that he scrapped his original plan to contain Burnley – it wasn’t working. For all the talk about the absence of strikers, Tottenham’s problems do not begin and end in the final third.

This powerful acceleration out of our own half took Tottenham straight into attack. The Argentine’s successful passing accuracy was 80%, only misplacing 3 forward passes in total.

The Argentine brought urgency and sense of confidence that had been sorely lacking. Lo Celso made more successful attacking passes (11/14) than any other Spurs player.

Since January 1st 2020, Lo Celso has drawn 13 free kicks from opposing teams.

Lo Celso’s first instinct is always to transition and get the ball moving offensively.

And Jose has admitted that he didn’t rate him when he first came in as manager. Bit like his opinion of Fred at Utd.

When you watch his forward transition you begin to see how poor many of the other players are around him. Son has it, Kane has it, Sissoko in spurts has it, hopefully Bergwijn and Moura has it at times. Lamela sometimes but we lack it from defensive positions. Moussa Dembele had it in spades and what a shame it is that Lo Celso and Dembele never played for the same team with us. Winks needs to look at Lo Celso and learn.

Yeah when he arrived under poch he played with kane son eriksen etc. Scored on his debut.. But he arrived unfit so was only used as a sub and bit part player. Didnt impress much. Its taken him a few months to bed in properly, now he’s beginning to flourish.

Head and shoulders above the others on the park.I just hope he doesn’t become disillusioned by the dross around him.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think he has played with Kane and Son in the same team yet…add Sissoko and hopefully his assist stats will flourish..
