Lo Celso is going to be a very special signing for Tottenham. Even Ian Wright had no choice but to admit it, and so this season, I’m going to be grateful for the glimpses we get of the player we will hopefully be wowed by every week, come the 2020/21 season.
Successful pass completion rate of 80.4%, which is good, but not great, thanks to the extremely effective Leipzig press. Giovani is a naturally attacking player, just 7 backwards passes all game. The Argentine recovered the ball 8 times, and created 3 assists.
Negatives: only 1 out of 8 crosses were successful (6 of these were actual corners), and the 23-year-old was dispossessed twice.

100%, takes one to know one!
Lo Celso is the only bright spot right now. Quality player, I still have high hopes for Tanguy as well. Both footballers, both Spurs. Unlike Jose…
Awful performance by most last night,we have a mountain to climb over there especially if their star defender is available again.Although to be fair Ampadu looked very assured.
For what they are worth my ratings below:
Lloris 7,
Aurier 5,Toby 6.5,Sanchez 7,Davies 5
Fernandes 5.5,Winks 6,Lo Celso 7.5
Moura 6,Bergwijn6.5,Dele 5.5
Subs.N’Dombele 6.5,Lamela 6.5
I would suggest half of that starting team don’t play against the chavs on Saturday.
His ‘negatives’ corners were lovely though, if only 1 in 6 reached our player then shame on whoever didn’t get up and attack them. They were whipped in fast dangerous and teasing. Kane will be getting on the end of them. Our centre backs aren’t great aerial threats, none of our midfielders are good in the air either apart from dier really.
He was desperate to try and create something, hence the lower success rate, and from what I remember the only one willing to have a go at goal…..thanks for this signing Poch, Celso is a propa yid…
