“Liverpool will be saying exactly the same about Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son” Thrilling Tottenham v Liverpool match predicted

By Bruce Grove -

Michael Dawson has predicted a thrilling match between Tottenham and Liverpool when both teams face each other this evening.

The title rivals will meet at the Tottenham Stadium, and the game offers Spurs the chance to avenge their 2-1 loss to Jurgen Klopp’s men in the reverse fixture.

Dawson knows what it means to play and beat Liverpool having debuted against the Reds at Anfield in 2005.

He would go on to beat Liverpool 6 consecutive times at home as a Tottenham player.

The Reds head into this game with five wins from their last five league matches against Spurs.

They have won at Tottenham’s home on their last two visits and will be chasing a record third consecutive win, even though they are out of form.

Dawson admits that Liverpool’s attacking trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane is scary, but he says the Reds will also be worried about Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

Speaking on the Tottenham website, he said: “I’m looking forward to this one.”

“Look, when Spurs went to Anfield six weeks ago, Liverpool started well but Spurs got back to 1-1 straight away and created chances in the second half.”

“At 1-1, I thought there was only going to be one winner, but then the sucker punch of conceding a goal from a set-piece in the last minute.”

“I wondered how Liverpool would deal with losing Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, but they’ve done well. It just seems they’re not firing at the other end. Teams go through spells like that. Their front three of Firmino, Mane and Salah have been magnificent for what, three years now?”

“They’ve had a slight dip and results haven’t been where they want them to be, but that’s football, and they will want to put it right. Defensively, you know you have to be very good, strong, just look at the forward players they’ve had over the years, not least now!”

“But Liverpool will be saying exactly the same about Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son. They are a joy to watch, they really are. It’s all set up for a fascinating match!”

José coulda used training sessions to teach the boys how to cope without the ball being attacked from all angles. About keeping our shape and not panicking, soaking up pressure. Also choosing the right moments to break ect. But no he chose live high intensity games to do so. Brave. I rate that. Next season tottenham gonna be lethal. Well be a very smart team.

This is the Spurs team who I think will play tonight: Lloris Aurier, Alderweireld, Dier, Tanganga
Sissoko, Ndombele, Hojberg Son, Bergwijn Kane Pity about Reguilon and Davies (If he is injured and cannot play?)
