Latest update on Tottenham Serie A target is a little depressing

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham has been linked with a move for Inter Milan defender, Milan Skriniar recently and it seems that the saga will go on for some time.

The defender has been admired by Jose Mourinho for quite a while, as the Portuguese manager wanted him at Manchester United as well.

The Slovakian has previously been one of the untouchable players at Inter Milan, but he began to struggle for a place in the club’s starting XI recently and he now appears very dispensable.

After losing Jan Vertonghen, Mourinho has now returned for Skriniar and a deal did seem like it could be done.

However, the latest update on that front indicates that the defender will be allowed to leave, but Spurs might struggle to afford him.

Sport Mediaset via Sempre Inter says that Inter Milan will listen to offers for the defender, but they have set their asking price at 50 million euros.

The Italians want to also add some players to their team in this transfer window, and they are looking to get as much money as possible when they sell any of their players.

That fee will be too much for Spurs to pay in this coronavirus time and the club will hope that they can drive down that price, otherwise, we should expect them to turn their attention to other players.

It also means that any prospective swap deal involving Tanguy Ndomebele is likely to be dead in the water.

Do not waste money on him when we can sign Kim for around £15m, Kim is younger and way better on the ball and in the air.
