Latest report confirms Tottenham’s interest in Premier League star Conte ‘admires’

By Mehdi Gokal -

According to CalcioMercato, N’Golo Kante’s contract talks with Chelsea are becoming challenging amidst interest from other Premier League clubs, namely Tottenham.

Spurs’ interest in Kante was first reported by French outlet Foot Mercato a couple of weeks ago with the report suggesting that Chelsea will not be offering the Frenchman a new contract given his recent injury issues.

The report suggested that Kante wants to stay at London and hence his representatives offered him to Spurs and Arsenal.

And now according to CalcioMercato , the negotiations between Chelsea and Kante have come to a stall despite the player wanting to stay at the club.

Kante is said to want a three-year deal with the option of a one-year extension, while the Blues are only willing to offer him a two-year deal.

The report has named a host of clubs interested in him with the likes of Barcelona, Juventus, PSG, Arsenal, and Spurs all mentioned with Conte mentioned as the manager who is a big ‘admirer’ of him.

According to the report, the 31-year-old could reach an agreement with another club in January in preparation for a move next summer.

A move to Tottenham would be logical for the player, who will reunite with the manager who signed him at Chelsea.

And if Spurs want him badly some other Club will just step in and snap him up, out of spite.
