Ange Postecoglou’s future at the club remains very uncertain after the poor season Tottenham have had.
They currently sit 14th in the league having lost 16 games this season out 31 played, winning only 11 and drawing 4.
The club has also been knocked out of both the domestic cups, FA Cup and the League Cup.
Europa League remains the only competition left for them to salvage their season. Winning it would not only end they trophy drought but also see them qualify for next season’s Champions League.
They have reached the quarter-finals after beating AZ Alkmaar in the Round of 16s. They will face Bundesliga side Frankfurt in the final 8 and if they beat them, they will face the winner of Lazio vs FK Bodø/Glimt in the semi-finals.
While reports suggested that Daniel Levy informed Ange that winning the Europa could save his job, but that looks unlikely. Even if the club wins the Europa League, the Australian has really damaged his relationship with the fans this season.
Ange has on multiple occasions clashed with own supporters, in particular against after defeat to Bournemouth and most recently after the 1-0 defeat to Fulham.
He was also accused of mocking the fans by cupping his ears at them after Sarr scored against Chelsea. The midfielder was subbed on for Lucas Bergvall in the second half, a decision that was booed and jeered by the fans.
Minutes later, Sarr scored from distance triggering Ange to do a celebration aimed against his own fans. Unfortunately for him, the goal was disallowed for a foul in the build up.
There has also been claims that the Tottenham players have been left unhappy with the current situation, with Bryan King suggesting that the players do not want to play for Ange anymore.
Keith Wyness: Talks ongoing to replace Ange at the end of the season

Keith Wyness has claimed that Ange has ‘lost the plot’ with his relationship with the Tottenham supporters now ‘irreparable’.
Wyness stated that there is a need to replace the Australian due to this and that a new manager will help the club mend their relationship with the supporters as well.
Speaking to Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, he said:
“It’s not a good situation.
“Postecoglou seems to have lost the plot. Lovable old Aussie Ange has become Grumpy Ange.
“The relationship has broken down with the fans and it now seems irreparable.
“He knows it, everyone knows that Spurs will be moving for a new manager.
“I’m sure there are talks already going on behind the scenes.
“We’ve discussed previously about Iraola or Silva at Bournemouth or Fulham. Both of those sides still have something to play for, so there won’t be any moves immediately.
“That move will give the club a chance to catch their breath and mend the relationship with the fans.”
