Ange Postecoglou’s future at Tottenham remains uncertain after a poor second season at the club.
Spurs currently sit 14th in the league, with just 11 wins in 31 games, losing a whopping 16 games while drawing 4.
They have also been knocked out of the FA Cup as well as the League Cup, with the Europa League their final hope to save the season.
They are into the quarter-finals of the competition after beating AZ in the Round of 16s and will face Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday.
There have been reports that winning the Europa League could save Ange’s job however, chances of that happening is very slim.
What makes it even more unlikely that he will keep his job past this season is his deteriorating relationship with the club supporters.
He has had several heated moments with the fans, having clashed with them after defeats to Bournemouth and Fulham most recently. He was also seen cupping his ears at them after Sarr’s disallowed goal in response to their boos following his decision to bring the player on in place of Bergvall.
There have also been questions about the state of the dressing room amid the poor campaign.
Vice-captain Cristian Romero recently admitted that the player are unhappy with Tottenham’s current situation while Heung-min Son has been previously accused of not listening to the manager.
And former club scout Bryan King has added to the behind the scenes drama by suggesting that the manager has now lost the dressing room.
Bryan King believes Ange has lost the Tottenham dressing room
Speaking to Tottenham News, King claimed that the players do not want to play for the Australian anymore.
“I don’t have many thoughts after that match
“Again, it was a changed team from the defeat against Chelsea. You need players to be confident. However, I’m not sure the players are confident.
“It looks like they don’t want to play for Postecoglou. There were 60,000 people in attendance watching that football match. However, there was no urgency, passion or desire from the Tottenham players.
“Southampton are a poor team and Spurs did not beat them as convincingly as I thought they should have done. It could’ve been five or six on another day, it was too easy for Tottenham.”
