Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing Anthony Gordon from Everton before the transfer window closes.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the interest from Antonio Conte’s side ‘is real’ and Spurs have been tracking the player for a while now.
Apparently, Gordon is a target for London rivals Chelsea as well and the Blues have already had two bids rejected for the young winger.
The 21-year-old established himself as an important first-team player for Frank Lampard’s side last season and he was crucial to their survival hopes. Gordon managed to score 4 goals in 35 league appearances for the Toffees last season and it seems highly unlikely that the Merseyside outfit will let him leave this summer.
Everton are already lacking in depth when it comes to the attacking department and the departure of Gordon this late in the window could be a massive blow for them.
Meanwhile, the youngster could be an interesting acquisition for Spurs and his ability to play in multiple positions across the frontline could make him a useful option for Conte.
The likes of Bryan Gil have been linked with a move back to Spain this summer and Gordon could be the ideal replacement.
Tottenham have an ambitious project at their disposal and a move to the London club could be a tempting proposition for the youngster.
However, Spurs value the player at £35 million and Chelsea are prepared to offer £60 million for his services. It will be interesting to see if Spurs are prepared to pay over the odds to secure his services this month.

…. Frank Lampard on the bru 🤣
Gordon to CFC and Frank Lampard on the run ..every cloud !!
if Chelsea will spend 60m and Levy 25m how is our interest “real”? Do these guys even read their own tweets?
Read my lips, never in a month of Sundays we will go head to head with Chelsea for this player. We originally bid £25 million for him when we were negotiating for Richarlison and Levy doesn’t like getting into bidding wars. £60 million, if true is ridiculous.
No thanks. We have ‘prospects’ all over the shop. Sess, Gil, Matar-Saar. Jack Clarke amounted to diddly squat and is gone. Tried and tested creative mid and at least one quality CB is what we should be concentrating on with urgency at this point.
