They have reached the final of the Carabao Cup and remain in the Europa League, but their inconsistent form means they might not achieve their goals.
One manager that has been tipped to replace him if he finally gets sacked is Julian Nagelsmann (Talksport).
The young German has been one of the top-rated bosses in the world and Spurs will make an exciting addition to their team if they bring him to England.
They also want Marcel Sabitzer, who he currently manages and the Austrian will be out of a contract at the end of next season.
The midfielder was asked if he would be joining his manager in England should Tottenham make him their next boss and he refused to rule that out.
Instead, he claimed he doesn’t know what his manager’s plan is and he is focused on playing for the German side for now.
Bild asked the 26-year-old out-right if he will be following Nagelsmann to White Hart Lane.
“I don’t know what Julian is up to,” he responded as quoted by Express Sport.
” And I have to say: I have a contract until 2022, and not just until summer.
“It has become fashionable to ask the question on the future as soon as a player is in the last 18 months of their contract.
“But that doesn’t mean that everything has to be decided at that moment.”
