Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is seeking to depart North London this summer in search of regular playing time.
Although the Danish international considered a move during the January transfer window, he ultimately decided to stay.
However, being excluded from Ange Postecoglou’s plans has reignited his desire to find a new club in the upcoming transfer window.
Turkish giants Fenerbahce have become the latest club to register their interest in securing his services.
The Istanbul-based club have recently unveiled Jose Mourinho as their new manager, and Mourinho is eager to reunite with Hojbjerg.
Turkish journalist Omer Celikbasli reported that discussions are underway between Fenerbahce and Spurs regarding a potential deal for the defensive midfielder.

Mourinho, who previously coached Hojbjerg at Tottenham and made him a key player, sees the Dane as a valuable addition to his new team.
Under Postecoglou, Hojbjerg’s playing time was significantly reduced, starting in only 21% of Premier League games despite making 36 appearances.
Most of his contributions came as a substitute, often entering the field in the latter stages of matches. This limited role has likely influenced Hojbjerg’s decision to seek more consistent playing opportunities elsewhere.
With Hojbjerg entering the final year of his contract, which expires in June of next year, Tottenham recognises the need to sell him this summer to avoid losing him on a free transfer.
The prospect of reuniting with Mourinho at Fenerbahce could be an attractive option for Hojbjerg, offering him the regular football he desires and a chance to play under a manager who values his abilities.
