After a bad performance by Tottenham, there is always an overreaction from the bookies, well, punters seeing as it is their money that determines the market.
For the last few weeks, Steve Bruce has been the favourite to be the next manager to leave his club, however, his Newcastle side won over the weekend and he is no longer at the head of the market, that is now Mourinho.
The Portuguese is now as low as 3/1 to be jettisoned next and Bruce is as high as 5/1. The next manager in the betting is Crystal Palace’s Roy Hodgson followed by Scott Parker of Fulham.
The future of Harry Kane is likely to dominate the gossip pages all summer, which is to be expected considering how poor Spurs have been this season and the likelihood that Champions League football will not be played at the Tottenham stadium next season.
Man City are the favourites to sign the England captain, they are now 5/2 according to the bookies with their bitter local rivals Man Utd, 5/1.
Next in the market is PSG at 7/1 and Real Madrid on 8’s.
So, if the bookies are right, then Kane is set to replace Sergio Aguero next season and Tottenham will be looking for a new manager before any other Premier League club.

yall media houses are desperately trying to get Josè fired, yall hate him that much that you spread speculations so much that his failing and needs to be sacked come on, Josè just needs to sign players together with Levy before his success of run comes through.. he was number 1 on the log at some point to show that he still has the winning mentality in him to do so. He just needs support as he is building the squad. Kane should give Josè another year together with Son and then sell the deadwood that’s at Spurs. I mean these are are same players that failed Poch in the past 5 years surely Josè needs support of new signings.
You are right. If he wants out he needs to go. Besides it would put Levy in a very difficult position. Previously when we sold high profile players they were sort of mercenaries with no real attachment to the club. Berbatov, Carrick Modric and Bale were examples of this. But Harry is Spurs man and boy that is a very different story.
No he’s not,but enough is enough.I think yesterday he looked at the end as if he knows this is the time to leave. At almost 28 he can’t afford to wait and the only thing making it difficult will be Levy’s bloodymindedness. But that will backfire if Kane’s denial of a move creates more division within the group.I’m not suggesting that he will down tools, but he will not operate at his top level.
Still don’t think Harry or Son leave. Not this year. Harry just doesn’t strike me as a rock the boat kind of guy.
Kane owes Tottenham nothing. He ought to leave to experience some well deserved football joy, the poor lad must be starving. Also, if he goes at peak age, and given our standard purchasing model, the money will be useful for the next mini era.
You fail to mention that Bruce’s fortunes have been turned around by bringing in the assistant coach from Bournemouth.Hence a more attacking style of play.It doesn’t make Bruce suddenly better.
Danny says the ‘transfer market only opens up at the end of the window’
So now you know
My issue is not if Kane leaves, but when. I don’t need Levy squeezing £10m more out of the buying club right up until the end of the transfer window for us not to be prepared come our first game. Kane has to be sold early, with the rest of the ‘jumble’ and we need to buy quick.
