January Transfer Window: Daniel Levy About To Take £100M Bath On 27yr Old?

By Joe Fish -

Christian Eriksen may finally get his dream move in January with AS claiming that Real Madrid will bid for the Tottenham Hotspur star.

The Dane was expected to leave Spurs in the summer after announcing to Ekstra Bladet, his desire for a new challenge.

However, AS outline in their report, Eriksen was not Real Madrid’s first-choice target, as manager Zinedine Zidane preferred Manchester United’s Paul Pogba together with Ajax’s Champions League hero Donny van de Beek.

AS adds that deals for Pogba and Van de Beek remain difficult to complete and Zidane has accepted it is necessary for Real to sign a midfielder when the transfer window reopens. Christian Eriksen could be the best available, best value option – Madrid reckon they can get him for €30m (£27m).

£27m? How has it come to this?

The Guardian reported that Daniel Levy priced Eriksen at £130m when the 27-year-old first made noises about moving on. Now we may have to settle for whatever we can get for a top-class player entering his prime years.

That’s if Eriksen does not let his contract run down and take his pick of clubs at the end of the season, when he will be able to demand higher wages. This terrible mismanagement could cost the club £100m.

so there are several options/possibilities….he does well-spurs want him -he doesnt want to sign..or will only sign for double the money hes on now…….levy wants him but wants to cut the agreed fee as suggested here….hes total rubbish spurs dont want him…real betis dont want him back….he does so well at spurs that barca/real madrid /juventus want him …..if spurs had faith in the players abilities they should have signed him straight off….as it is lo celsos future at spurs is no more certain than eriksens unless ive missed something…of course all this is pure speculation ..the same as this article is…and yes i agree the fitness or non fitness of this mob we have signed leaves a lotto be desired…negligence? incompetence? players faking it? ive no way of knowing….and the beat goes on…and on ..and….

There is no extending his loan.We can sign him if we get CL,but that’s looking unlikely at present. He would then have to agree whether to sign or not.
If he has a chance of improving us nobody will see any evidence of it this side of new year, particularly if N’Dombele’s performances are anything to go on.
It’s unforgivable that our three new players have given so little time on the pitch for us.Another example of our world class medical team doing their due diligence.

Maybe we should give new players a more rigorous medical.
All those we bought this year can’t last 90 minutes.
Something is most definitely wrong.
Maybe a Psychologist should checkout our manager whilst we are about it. He doesn’t know which player to buy and when he does they aren’t given a fair chance to prove themselves.

I suggest you switch off your computer, radio and never open a paper again.

Levy is the sort of bloke who tries to make a profit on a 28 year old who has clearly declined through injuries in the last two seasons, as he has done with Wanyama.

I wouldn’t put anything past him, he’s a penny wise pound foolish bore. I wish he, ENIC and Lewis would fuck off but sadly the property developers are here for the long haul…

What’s going on,the coments are from another blog page.
If true this would be another Levy tactic to save a few quid. However I see this as LoCelso’s people seeing the writing on the wall as far as our season is concerned and don’t want the permanent deal. Not that he has had the opportunity to show he deserves anything. This will see Poch let down again. The big clearout and refreshment of the squad that has been alluded to will never happen.AGAIN.

Wonderful, but like the ENIC board, you are on the wrong post, or has Levy got to you too?
