Insider claims attacker will be allowed to leave Spurs in January but on one condition

Former Spurs keeper Paul Robinson believes Bryan Gil will leave the club on loan in January.

Gil has been with Tottenham since 2021 after joining from Sevilla and spent last season on loan at Valencia.
He wanted to a move to the Spanish club in the summer and was close to rejoining them after a successful loan spell but the move was blocked last minute by Spurs after Conte changed his mind.

With Spurs already having the likes of Harry Kane, Dejan Kulusevski, Lucas Moura, Son, and Richarlison in their attacking line-up, Gil has not been able to get much playing time as expected and the decision by Spurs has halted his development.

Gil has only played 73 minutes for Tottenham this season in six games, which is insufficient for a player’s development. As a result, Robinson anticipates that the youngster will leave the London club in January in order to gain valuable game time.

In an exclusive interview with Football Insider, he claimed that the 21-year-old Spanish star will be allowed to leave Tottenham in January.

With the player still young and in his development stage, another loan ‘would be best for all parties’.

He said:

“I think that would be best for all parties.

“He looks too slight to be playing in the Premier League right now so I can see that happening.

“He got a little bit of game time when [Dejan] Kulusevski was injured but now he’s back it makes sense for Gil to go out and get regular game time.

“You have to remember that he is still a young player. Another loan move would not be bad for him at this stage.

“He’s too good to be playing with the under-21s but he’s not quite ready to be a regular for the first team. That’s what a loan spell in Spain is probably a good idea.”

Football Insider, however, has claimed that Spurs will only allow the player to leave on one condition and that is if the club can sign a replacement for him.
