“I’m going to lose it” Tottenham fans react to starting XI to face Everton

By Bruce Grove -

The Tottenham starting XI to face Everton has been announced and two names seem to be dominating the fans reaction on Twitter.

The first is Tanguy Ndombele, which is no real surprise with many asking where he is, well, he is on the subs bench and so we may see him in action at some point this evening.

The second player that has popped up a lot is Serge Aurier and again, no real surprise there.

The Ivorian has clearly lost the fans and it is almost impossible to find any fan that has a good word to say about the 27-year-old right-back. Maybe some Evertonians are pleased to see him in the Spurs line-up but certainly, no Spurs fan seems overjoyed at his inclusion.

Ndombele, however, appears to be the main focus of the fans reaction and it is getting to a stage now that his omission is starting to become a bit of an albatross hanging around Jose Mourinho’s neck.

There was a fair amount of comments regarding Lucas Moura but Ndombele and Aurier seem to be the most contentious talking points.

Anyway, here is a sample of some of the strong views being expressed on Twitter.

Poor old Jose doesn’t know what to do. He’s got a duff hand alright.

Levy, Lewis, ENIC and now Mourinho all need to go, this club is going backwards, and under Levy and Lewis we never have the required investment to get anywhere near winning anything. Get rid of them all.

I think at least one of Aurier’s crosses will not go out out of play.
