If What Poch Says About Lifting Players Is Right Then This Project Is Doomed

By The Boy -

Let’s not mince words when examining Mauricio Pochettino’s words. Let’s not allow another interminable International break to rose tint the view in the rear view mirror.

Our relegation form hasn’t somehow evaporated – just because our boys weren’t playing in the Premier League for a couple of weeks.

Talking to the Tottenham Hotspur media room this afternoon, we were hit with the suggestion that our elite band of overpaid, underperforming fairies, needed taking to one side, needed energy, need to be lifted.

Sadly, this is another serving of Pochettino Brand mumbo jumbo that infuriates those fans capable of evaluating the sound bites that come out of the club.

This blogger’s unashamedly default dinosaur settings work like this: What would William Edward Nicholson do? What would Brian Howard Clough do? What would William Shankly do?

Sure, the game has changed since those WINNERS stalked the Earth, but the fundamental principles surrounding the management of footballers 100% remain the same.

If the gaffer is too hesitant to present home truths to losers, then he’s obviously too hesitant to stay in post.

Keep Dier…still short of a DM as Wanyama not fit. So we need to fill the role. Our prime problem though is wing backs. As you covered before, Kane could be a 10 to replace CE, and you could use Son and Moura up top, or Alli… Realistically though, we have so many shortfalls, and this lad for anything less than £50m is a steal. I cant see Gladbach wanting to sell to another Bundasliga side and I am not sure Inter have the money.
