Tottenham have enjoyed an excellent transfer window this summer having already signed six players and they might not be done just yet.
Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma, Djed Spence, Richarlison, Fraser Forster, and Lenglet have all arrived at the North London club this summer while 7 players are also expected to leave the club before the window shuts.
And now the reputed journalist, Fabrizio Romano has told Spurs fans to keep an eye out for more incomings with a special mention on Memphis Depay. When asked whether the club will go after Depay or Maddison, he told GIVEMESPORT:
“I would keep it open honestly because Fabio Paratici, the director of Tottenham, always works in this kind of opportunity.”
Depay has been linked with a move all summer and Sport had reported last week that Spurs are pushing hard to sign him. The most recent reports claim that Spurs have spoken with Depay but the Dutch international has ‘said no’ to the club for now. But now that Fabrizio Romano has claimed that there is still a possibility of Spurs signing him, you cannot rule it out.
Has Moura ever had a decent final ball though, if he’s not learnt that skill by now he never will.
That’s my point, none of them are much good, but better to have 4 useless options than just 1 or 2 as there’s a bit of competition at least. Would trade them all in for a world class option there, doesn’t seem to be on the cards though.
Would he get into City, Liverpool, Chelski, Ar$e, Utd, even Spammers? The guy isn’t cut out for the PL or CL, hope I’m proved wrong but he looks like a busted flush as the modern full/wingback needs at least a half decent attacking ability, something that Emerson lacks and has never shown any potential to develop.
What is the point of four options if none are capable of playing the role.At least two have to go before the window closes.We still need a proper RWB,a LCB and an AMF,then we are sorted.

Does make you wonder why Moura is still hanging about with the lack of game time he’s had so far under Conte. Might be prepared to learn the wingback role and also a fellow Brazilian to help Richarlison settle in?
Royal is not total crap, but his skill level and creativity are not up to the standard required of a starting wing back in Conte’s system. He is actually better suited to a standard back four formation. Spence showed a few glimpses of his athleticism, but will obviously need time. It’s even possible that Lucas may be in the mix at RWB.
All in all a decent performance. Rangers are certainly not a bad side, they did reach the Europa final a few months ago, plus they were at home and are a week ahead of us in their pre-season, yet we dominated them for large parts of the game and created considerably more chances than they did.
Our defensive shape was excellent, the high press was good and apart from our finishing the result would have been more emphatic. Aside from the clinicality, the front three were excellent and Bissouma and Perisic looked top drawer second half, when they came on. Romero was a beast throughout!
The weaknesses for me, down the left defensively from Sessegnon and on the right creatively from Royal. Perisic is a surefire bet to start over Sess and Lucas might well get the nod over Royal. There were some brief glimpses of the athleticism and quickness of Spence, who will also come into the mix at RWB.
Good to have those 4+ options at RWB, but I’m not sure if any of them are much good.
Worried about our CB and wingback quality/depth, other than that we’ve got a good top 4 quality side that can push on for the FA Cup at best (so the same as last year). If we have Dier/Sanchez and Royal/Doherty starting against the Saints then have we spent all this money to pretty much stand still, I’d say so.
One would imagine all 6 will be involved, albeit clearly Forster only in a back-up capacity.
I think we will be starting with Perisic and Royal. Perisic is a still a world class wing-back, who was the second highest rated player in Serie A last season. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if Lucas supplants Royal, or even Spence at some point.
Paraciti needs to take responsibility for Royal because he’s the one signing who hasn’t played for Juventus before and he’s clearly a punt. Paraciti needs to do better, don’t care if he’s mates with Conte. He can’t justify his job on that basis alone…
You’re right, Royal is total cr@p and can’t be relied upon to consistently create chances, so as a RWB he is useless and should be top of our for sale list.
I don’t think Doherty is much better as the guy can’t defend to save his life and can’t play a decent cross.
If Spence isn’t the answer then this window might look good but has been a failure.
I think it will be a rotation of Sessingnon and Perisic on the left, it’s the right that is more of a concern at present. Royal will never be up to scratch. Another clueless punt it seems.
Sessingnon also seems a bit injury prone, not a good sign at his age.
We’ve only signed 4 players that will be involved in anything this season, not 6…

All this money in the bank (allegedly) and we’re still starting with Sess and Royal – world class wing backs should have been the priority from day 1.
It’s a preseason game and showed , who knows how conte has been beasting them in days previous . Wingbacks royal and seggy the usual not up to standard . The back long looked shaky the first half but improved the second. We created enough chances but it wasn’t great but what preseason games are. Rangers are a week ahead of us you would think but we ended much stronger. All the new boys got 20 mins at least . Kula was the best player for me first half , really puts 100% in and I love how he tracks back .
not all good not all bad rangers thought they would get a scalp after West Ham but didn’t.
I wasn’t able to watch the game. How did we look in the end?
Painfully dull – especially the 2nd half….no stand outs from our new signings as yet…

I’m watching the match on Rangers TV. Highlight of the 1st half was when commentator said ‘you don’t get much for €25m these days’ about Sess after he failed to control a simple pass.
