“I really hope it happens in the coming year.” Tottenham’s target admits he wants to leave his present club

By Bruce Grove -

Manor Solomon has admitted he is looking forward to leaving Shakhtar Donetsk in the next year amidst interest from Tottenham.

The Israeli winger has been in fine form for the Ukrainian club and looks set to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Willian and Fred to move to Western Europe.

HITC maintains Tottenham remains interested in a move for him and he could become one of Antonio Conte’s signings.

The Italian will add as many quality signings as possible to the Spurs squad in his bid to win as much silverware as possible. Could the Israeli be one of them?

Ynet asked Solomon specifically about the rumours linking him with a move to Tottenham and he said:

“Anything can happen, you never know.

“There are reports all the time. I’m used to it. Of course, in the last year, (the rumours) have gotten stronger since my appearances in the Champions League.

“I’m not blinded by this at all.”

The Boy Hotspur Says

Solomon has been an exciting player to watch in the Champions League, but I doubt if he is better than the attackers already at Tottenham.

The likes of Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn underperformed under the last two Tottenham bosses, but they are much better and experienced than Solomon is.

If Conte can get them to perform at their best, Spurs won’t need to sign a new attacker.

Even if we eventually sign Solomon, he would most likely become just a squad member at the Tottenham Stadium.
