His excellent work with the Scottish club earned him comparison with Pep Guardiola.
The Australian is set to bring in an attacking style of football to the club which will be a pleasant news for fans as they have not played attacking football since Pochettino.
He is expected to transform the team into an attacking one much to Spurs fans excitement.
And James Maddison has revealed that it was his promise of a new Spurs that convinced him to join them.
“I spoke to the manager, spoke to Daniel and they both spoke very highly of everything about the club. Speaking to the manager was very important, how he’s going to be, with that little bit of the unknown, so to have a decent chat with him and to get his thoughts on things, how he sees Spurs going this season.
“He said one thing to me on the call, I hope he won’t mind me saying this, but he said, ‘Whether you come or not, you’re going to see a completely different Spurs team under me’, and that kind of stuck with me that he said that.”
Spurs have been very busy in the transfer window so far. Levy and co are working hard to get the deals done as quickly as possible.
They are reportedly targeting signing a new centre-back next with the likes of Micky van de Ven and Edmond Tapsoba strongly linked.
Another transfer that will have a significant impact on their upcoming season is Harry Kane. He is being linked with a move away with Bayern Munich making an official bid for him.
The bid was rejected as it fell short of Spurs’ valuation for him but the player has reportedly agree personal terms with the German giants who are expected to come back with an improved offer.
If he goes, Tottenham will have a huge task of replacing him.
