“I didn’t think”: Journalist tips Harry Kane to stay but claims another key player ‘could move’

By Mehdi Gokal -

TalkSport’s Alan Brazil believes Heung-Min Son is more likely to leave Spurs than Harry Kane.

Both attackers have been linked with a move away from the club. Bayern Munich is the club most interested in Harry Kane. The Bundesliga club has publicly expressed its admiration for the Englishman and its intention to sign him. They have not yet replaced Robert Lewandowski with another striker, but have identified Harry Kane as his ideal replacement.

The 29-year-current old’s contract expires in 2024, and while according to 90min, Spurs are confident he will sign a new contract, Tim Sherwood has claimed that Kane’s new contract is dependent on Conte’s future. He is happy under Conte and is likely to stay if Conte also extends his contract.

Meanwhile, Son, who has been an important part of Tottenham’s team in recent seasons, is tipped to leave Spurs to join a bigger club, according to Sport1.

Son joined Spurs in August 2015 for a reported £22 million and has since developed into one of the best attackers in the world.

Last season was perhaps the best of his career. He scored 23 league goals and finished as the joint top-scorer with Mo Salah. He also provided 9 assists.

While discussing the South Korean’s future on TalkSport, Gabriel Agbonlahor said:

“Talk about Harry Kane as well, he could be one that looks at a Bayern Munich move.”

“I didn’t think he’d want to go Ally [McCoist] because of the goal-record [Premier League].

“But Son wants to win trophies, Ally. He wants to win stuff. I don’t think he’s going to do that at Spurs.

“But Kane might have the option to go to Bayern Munich. He might have to choose that as well to win trophies.

“What if they don’t win anything this season and it comes to the summer? Don’t you think that Son and Kane are going to be thinking we need to move now?”

“I’ve always said that I hope Harry goes nowhere.”

“I hope Harry stays at Spurs. Son’s I think different, I think he could move.”

The report from the German outlet also shared similar views. It suggested that with the player already 30 years old, he may not have the patience to wait for Spurs to win a trophy.

I have to say the years haven’t been kind to Alan Brazil since he stopped playing.
